Following the recent news of Leonardo "mwzera" Serrati moving down to the substitute squad due to health reasons, FURIA have been quick to find a replacement. With the VCT 2025 - Americas Stage 1 fast approaching, the Brazilian team have rounded out the roster with the addition of Luis "pryze" Henrique.

Now, the former 2GAME Esports man will have the tall task of filling in for a player who used to be one of FURIA's most important assets inside the game.

Trusting the process

After joining 2GAME at the start of the 2024 season following an extended period of VALORANT inactivity, pryze was quick to make it to the VCT to compete against the game's top squads.

The start of pryze's journey at the VCT 2025 - Americas Kickoff was far from ideal, however, with his first official match delivering a loss at the hands of none other than FURIA themselves. Soon afterwards, pryze and 2GAME lost to KRÜ Esports in the tournament's Lower Bracket to be eliminated from Kickoff without winning a single map.

Though pryze's stats throughout kickoff do not paint a bright picture (0.70 rating, 96 ADR, 0.46 KPR), the Brazilian player is still getting used to playing at the highest level of competition. Now, pryze has been given a second chance at life in the VCT when FURIA came knocking at his door. The path ahead, however, will not be easy to tread.

FURIA in need of a kick-start

Ever since the formation of VCT Americas for the 2023 season, FURIA have never managed to finish higher than sixth place. Recently, at the 2025 Kickoff tournament, the team managed to get off to a bright start despite fielding a roster made up entirely of substitute players due to visa issues.

Once the main roster came back into the action, however, FURIA lost their next four maps to be eliminated from the tournament before they got a chance to truly make their presence felt.

Now, having been delivered another blow with the loss of mwzera, it will be up to pryze to breathe life back into the FURIA squad before the start of what is shaping up to be a competitive Stage 1 tournament in the Americas.

FURIA's roster for the VCT 2025 Americas Stage 1:

  • Brazil Rafael "raafa" Lima
  • Brazil Olavo "heat" Marcelo
  • Brazil Luis "pryze" Henrique
  • Brazil Ilan "havoc" Eloy
  • Brazil Khalil "khalil" Schmidt
