G2 Gozen reclaim the VCT Game Changers Stage 3 throne

G2 Gozen are the queens of VALORANT Game Changers 2026 - EMEA Stage 3. For the second year in a row, they secured the European title in the final stage of the year.

The team took down Gentle Mates GC in a thrilling five map series in Istanbul, Turkey. Despite entering the final as underdogs, G2 overcame a difficult 2026 against the French organization to claim one of their most important victories of the season.

An All-Out Clash

Gentle Mates were the clear favorites heading into the final. They had looked in excellent shape throughout the entire stage, and even their previous results against G2 gave them a clear edge. The two teams had already faced each other six times during the year, with M8 winning every single series.

However, even the biggest curses can be broken on the biggest stage. G2 finally overcame their mental block and defeated the team that had dominated them for the whole year.

The series was filled with momentum swings from the opening map. Haven, Sunset, and Lotus were all heavily one sided, with each team delivering a dominant performance in different moments of the series. Neither side was able to maintain control for long, creating a final that went all the way to the fifth map.

With this victory, G2 Gozen have officially qualified for the 2026 VALORANT Game Changers Championship in São Paulo as EMEA’s first seed. Gentle Mates, SK Nebula, and G2 had already secured their places at the event through Championship Points, but the European title gives them the best possible seeding heading into the international tournament.
