How VCT Challengers youngsters are breaking records at VCT EMEA

The young talents emerging from Challengers teams have been surprising everyone with their confidence and raw talent on the big stage. During the VALORANT Champions Tour 2026 - EMEA Stage 2, two players broke the same record within less than 48 hours, proving that is still a lot of talent hidden in the Tier 2 teams.

Both Samet "Kachoww" Arıcı and Denis-Stefan "kozzy" Aionitoaei played a crucial role in helping their respective teams secure a spot in the Upper Bracket Final. As a result, at least one Challengers team is guaranteed to make it to the Playoffs stage, marking another major milestone for the region’s rising stars.

Young Challengers talents take the spotlight

Kachoww, from Fire Flux Esports, broke the record by becoming the youngest player in the region to secure an ace at just 17 years old, achieving the feat against PCIFIC Esports. But one ace was not enough to showcase the young talent’s potential, as he went on to secure a second ace in the match against Team Heretics.

The Turkish player also broke the VCT EMEA records for highest Average Combat Score (499), Average Damage per Round (310), and Kills per Round (1.93).

However, Kachoww’s record would stand for less than 48 hours, as another rising talent quickly emerged to claim the title for himself.

At just 16 year old, Enterprise Esports duelist Kozzy broke the same record against Gentle Mates. Both players are now just one step away from qualifying for VCT EMEA 2026 Stage 2. They will face each other for a spot in the next stage, while the loser will still have a chance to qualify through the Lower Bracket.

With the VCT franchise system set to end in 2027, we can expect more Tier 2 teams to bring everything they have against the established Tier 1 organizations. New tournaments where anyone can beat anyone could add even more excitement to the competitive season, while giving rising talents like Kachoww and Kozzy more opportunities to shine on the biggest stage.

VCT EMEA 2026 Stage 2

There is still plenty of VALORANT to be played in VCT EMEA 2026 Stage 2. The Lower Bracket run will begin on August 12, with teams facing elimination as they fight to keep their Playoffs hopes alive.

Meanwhile, the Upper Bracket semifinals are scheduled for August 15, where at least one Tier 2 team is guaranteed to secure a spot in the next stage. The same applies to the Turkish organizations FUT Esports and Eternal Fire, who will face each other in the other Upper Bracket semifinal.

Only four teams will advance to the Playoffs, where they will battle for a place at VALORANT Champions 2026, which is set to take place in Shanghai, China.
