We didn’t need to wait that long for the next announcement about another entrance to the VALORANT esports scene. The Japanese organization JUPITER has acquired a previous CS:GO roster called Absolute on the same day as the beta release despite the fact, the game is currently not available in this region and the date of the launch is not specified just yet.

Absolute is a team that has competed together since 2017 and during that time replaced a player only once, in 2018, due to personal reasons. They were representing another Japanese organization before, SCARZ, but eventually parted ways with them shortly after the player replacement. The team continues to compete in the CS:GO tournaments under the name Absolute. The coach is together with them from February 2019.

This time Absolute has decided to join forces with the leading Japanese organization JUPITER. They aim to create a team that will compete in the newest game developed by Riot, under the name of Absolute JUPITER.

Kouji "Laz" Ushida, who some consider the most talented CS:GO player in Japan and is also recognized worldwide, will be the captain of the team. Meanwhile, Ryu "Reita" Oshiro, who is one of the most awarded people with MVP awards in the domestic scene will take the role of in-game leader (IGL). He is also well known for his skills using the AWP. The remaining three players of Absolute JUPITER are Tomoaki "crow" Maruoka, who boasts over 16,700 hours played in CS:GO, Ryo "barce" Takebayashi who is well known for his excellent recoil control and also holds the distinction of being the youngest member. Takemori "takej" Shogo, who is also known as the “Hope of Japan (JP HOPE)” will round out the roster. Sawada "JUNiOR" Yuya who also competed in Counter-Strike professionally before, will continue to be a coach of the team.

“We aim to be the best VALORANT team in the world,” say the members of Absolute JUPITER in a recent interview for the Japanese outlet negitaku.org.

“CS:GO is not a popular game in Japan. Because of that, I wanted to quit playing CS:GO before but the team wanted to continue. However, the reason for eventually leaving the scene is the fact that we have come to the point where we couldn’t expect the results of going further up,” comments Kouji "Laz" Ushida. “It’s double or nothing. But it’s a game made by Riot Games. So I decided to take the risk and go in."

With the statement given above, it only confirms a fact of how much trust the professional players put in the VALORANT's developers and their hopes for a well established new esports title even though the game is still in the early days of the beta phase.

    Absolute JUPITER roster:

Japan Kouji "Laz" Ushida Japan Ryu "Reita" Oshiro Japan Tomoaki "crow" Maruoka Japan Ryo "barce" Takebayashi Japan Takemori "takej" Shogo

    Japan Sawada "JUNiOR" Yuya (Coach)
