Karmine Corp crowned VCT EMEA Stage 2 champions

Karmine Corp are the VALORANT Champions Tour 2026 - EMEA Stage 2 champions after defeating Team Liquid in front of thousands of fans at the Olimpic Arena in Badalona. KC looked strong from the start and secured their second EMEA title with a 3-1 victory.

Twists and turns

The series started on KC’s pick, Sunset. As KC ran away with the score, Liquid fought hard to keep the half competitive. However, on defense, KC put Liquid in their place, with the help of top-fragger Dastan "dos9" Zhumagali on Omen. The final score on Sunset was 13-7 in KC’s favor.

Next up was Ascent, and a similar story played out. KC immediately took control of the rounds and secured a four-round lead at halftime, 8-4. The map truly looked out of reach for Liquid when KC managed to steal the second round after losing the pistol, breaking Liquid’s momentum and composure. Unable to regain their footing, Liquid fell 13-6 as KC took the map.

Lotus looked to be the closest map yet, with the teams trading rounds back and forth. This time around, Liquid had the upper hand in the second half as they ran away with the score on attack. They proved that the match was far from over, taking Lotus 13-7.

The fourth and final map was Summit, and Liquid came out swinging, taking a 7-0 lead. KC, however, clawed their way back into the game and took control in the second half. After several close rounds, KC showed just how badly they wanted the title, closing out Summit 13-10 to become EMEA champions.

Second EMEA title

This is KC’s second EMEA title, with their first coming in 2023 when they won VCT 2024 - EMEA Kick-off. Since then, KC have placed no higher than fourth in regional events. However, their improvement throughout the 2026 season has earned them a spot at the biggest VCT event of the year, and now, another trophy to take home.

dos9 most valuable player

For his performance in the Grand Final against Liquid, dos9 earned the MVP award. Playing Omen throughout the series, he racked up a 70-46 K/D and played a major role in KC’s success on the stage.
