KyP announce a VALORANT team
VALORANT opens a lot of possibilities to already existing organizations but also to the ones that are pretty new in the industry. For others, VALORANT is also an addition to bigger projects like, for example, a general rebranding of the company. That’s what was done by KyP (Know Your Place) just a few days after the team announcement. Now, together with the new management, and a few new divisions, they are starting a journey into the world of esports.
“KyP is making an enormous transition from being a content creation and sniping team to a full blown esports organization. Therefore, having an experienced and composed roster to represent us is not only ideal, but crucial to the beginning stages for our organization. I personally believe VALORANT has the potential and capabilities of being the next big esports scene. With that being said, it's imperative for KyP to have a foot in the door in VALORANT. When VALORANT takes off in the competitive scene, KyP will be there to represent and make our members and fans proud,” tells us Nahuel “Nahz” Zabala, General Manager of KyP.
The team consists of the five Americans with the background in the FPS games. Will “Flight” Klinkert, Keaton “Falke” Sittarich, and Seth “Frenzy” Patchin were competing before as a squad on the Rainbow Six: Siege scene. Meanwhile, the remaining two, Taylor “Iolite” Hays and Brandon “Ghosty” Pokorski have previous experience in another shooter, CS:GO.
“The decision to take on Flight and his team was not a hard one in my opinion. I found them and approached them to learn more information. Flight and I had a conversation in order for me to better understand their situation and what they are looking for. I reviewed their team resume and saw that there was a lot of potential in them to be a great team. I expect great things from the lads and I'm excited to see what kind of results they can produce,” continues Zabala.
The team has already started to perform in the various tournaments organized by the community. As the competition is rising worldwide, and more teams are getting signed every day, every possibility to gain more experience will be profitable for all of the members of this North American squad.
“Our expectations are to become a top-level team. We don't want to settle for anything less than the best and we are trying to achieve that through long practice hours and training,” adds the team captain, Will “Flight” Klinkert.
The KyP (Know Your Place) roster consists of:
