Leviatán sign Sato and okeanos ahead of the Esports World Cup 2025 Qualifier

With the last chance to qualify for the EWC VALORANT - Esports World Cup 2025 fast approaching, Leviatán have announced the additions of Eduardo "sato" Sato and Anthony "Okeanos" Nguyen to bolster their ranks. The two former M80 players will compete with Leviatán in an effort to get the team past the Americas Qualifier and into the EWC.

With M80 still in the running to lift the VCL 2025 - North America: Stage 2, it's uncertain what the future holds for the team. After a strong showing during the Swiss Stage, where they finished in third place with a 4-1 record, M80 have little time before their Playoffs run begins when they take on TSM on May 20th.

    Sato brings the pain

Over the course of Stage 2 at the VCL 2025 so far, Sato has looked like one of the strongest players at the tournament. A quick glance at his Stage 2 stats across 13 maps showcase Sato appears ready to make the jump to the VCT: 1.19 rating, 252.8 ACS, 160.2 ADR.

At just 18 years of age, Sato is already a two-time champion in the Brazilian Challengers scene, and could turn out to be just the piece Leviatán has been looking for. Known for his proficiency on Yoru, the Brazilian sharpshooter will now have the difficult task of replacing Max "Demon1" Mazanov as the team's new Duelist while Leviatán look to make a push for the EWC 2025.

Okeanos to fill in the gaps

In okeanos, Leviatán have found themselves a player with vast Tier-2 experience, and someone who is willing to do what it takes to get his team ahead. During Stage 2 of the VCL 2025 in North America, okeanos has shown off his flexibility by playing Controllers and Initiators for M80 after playing Duelists for most of Stage 1.

The Vietnamese player appears to be widely adaptable, and a valuable asset to any team looking to form a solid squad to work with.

    Road to EWC 2025

With Sato and okeanos on the team, Leviatán will donne a whole new look at the upcoming Americas Qualifier for the Esports World Cup 2025. There, the team will have to go through two grueling brackets in an effort to return to the international stage once more.

Leviatán's road to qualification for the EWC 2025 begins on May 16th, although their opponents are yet to be announced.

Leviatán roster for the EWC 2025 Americas Qualifier:

    • Chile Francisco "kiNgg" Alberto Aravena
    • United States Corbin Daniel "C0M" Lee
    • United States Ian "tex" Botsch
    • Brazil Eduardo "sato" Sato
    • Vietnam Anthony "Okeanos" Nguyen
