Leviatán signs Rossy ahead of VCT Americas Stage 1
VCT Americas team Leviatán has officially announced the signing of Daniel "Rossy" Abedrabbo. The signing marks a new chapter for both the player and the organization as they prepare for the upcoming VCT 2025 - Americas Stage 1.
Rumors of his move to Leviatán began circulating in early February, and the official announcement confirms the speculated verbal agreement.
Leviatán made the signing public through a comedic skit uploaded to their X account, showcasing their lighthearted approach to the roster change. Rossy himself followed up with a humorous response, stating,
"It only makes sense for a prince to join a team with a king."
The playful announcement comes as Leviatán looks to turn the tide after a disappointing start to the 2025 season.
Rossy's Rocky Road to Leviatán
Rossy’s journey to Leviatán has been anything but smooth. The North American IGL has been bouncing between teams in the last season. After parting ways with T1 at the end of the 2024 season, he was picked up by Cloud9 during the off-season. However, internal issues within Cloud9 led to his release just weeks before the start of the 2025 season, leaving Rossy without a team.
Despite the setback, Rossy's performance during the off-season showed glimpses of promise, reigniting interest from several teams.
Interestingly, Rossy's last international appearance came at VCT 2024 - Masters Shanghai, where his former team T1 was eliminated by none other than Leviatán. Now, he joins the very squad that ended his tournament run.
Replacing nataNk
Rossy will be coming in to replace Nathan "nataNk" Bocqueho, who was benched from Leviatán's starting roster on March 1st. While nataNk remains under contract, the organization has confirmed that he is free to explore other options.
It is still unclear whether or not Rossy will over the role of IGL from Francisco Alberto "kiNgg" Aravena. But it is undeniable that his leadership experience will be pt to good use, as Leviatán hopes to find the consistency they lacked during the Americas Kickoff tournament.
A Fresh Start for Stage 1
Leviatán had a mediocre showing in the VCT Americas Kickoff, bowing out at the hands of their former star player Erick "aspas" Santos, who now plays for MIBR. With Rossy's arrival, the team is looking for a much-needed reset heading into Stage 1.
The signing brings fresh hope for Leviatán, as they aim to make a stronger impact in the regional stage. Whether Rossy can finally find stability and lead the team to success remains to be seen, but both the player and organization are betting on a brighter future together.
