Team Liquid has finalized its 2024 VCT lineup with the acquisition of Enzo "Enzo" Mestari, Georgio "Keiko" Sanassy, and James "Mistic" Orfila.

Liquid complete its roster with Enzo, Mistic, and Keiko

Apeks, primarily consisting of former FNATIC players, burst onto the competitive scene earlier in the year, dominating the Northern Europe Challengers circuit by clinching both splits with an impressive record, dropping only one match along the way. Enzo, Mystic, and Keiko, stellar performance granted them a spot in Ascension's group stage, where they emerged as the top seed of Group B, boasting a flawless 4-0 record. Despite their dominance, Apeks faced an unexpected setback at the hands of Gentle Mates during the grand final. Contrary to expectations, Gentle Mates swiftly defeated Apeks with a convincing 3-0 victory, securing their place in the 2024 EMEA League.

Team Liquid's journey, on the other hand, was marked by ups and downs throughout the year. The organization faced challenges during its international debut at LOCK//IN against Team Secret. However, they managed to bounce back, causing an upset by defeating FNATIC in the EMEA League grand final, thus earning a spot in the playoffs at Masters: Tokyo, where they finished in the top six. Despite their successes, Team Liquid's performance at Champions fell below expectations as they failed to secure a single victory in Group D, suffering consecutive losses against Natus Vincere and LOUD.

Following their disappointing run in Champions 2023, the organization initiated a significant roster shakeup, parting ways with Dom "soulcas" Sulcas, Saif "Sayf" Jibraeel, and former in-game leader Igor "Redgar" Vlasov to make room for the Apeks trio. With their new roster, Team Liquid is poised and prepared to make their mark in the competitive scene.
