LOUD announces changes to VALORANT roster before third week of Stage One
After a troublesome start to VCT 2025 - Americas Stage 1, LOUD' quest to attend VCT 2025 - Masters Toronto 2025 has hit a roadblock after starting off the stage winless with losses to KRÜ Esports and 2GAME Esports. As a result, the team has announced that some "important decisions" have been made when it comes to their VALORANT division.
Winds of change
According to a deleted comment made on their latest VALORANT YouTube video, the team has had a 60 percent win rate through their recent scrims, but unfortunately, that success has not been able to translate over into their stage play. The management says that fans will see changes already made on gameday when LOUD faces off against 100 Thieves on Friday, April 4.
We know that the latest results were far below what LOUD has always represented for VALORANT. During the championships, any radical change is much more complex, but we have just changed several internal dynamics to improve performance. We understand that transparency between the team and the fans is fundamental and this is a time for us to look within, understand the mistakes, and seek the right changes to turn this game around.
Over the last two series, LOUD has lost on their own map pick twice, with one of those losses a lopsided 2-13 stomp on Haven at the hands of KRU. Haven is historically one of LOUD's best, with the team holding a 78.3 percent win rate on the map. However, they only have a 57.1 percent win rate on the team composition they chose to run, which consists of Jett, Omen, Cypher, Breach, and Sova. This specific team composition for LOUD also has an abysmal win rate when on the attacking side of a map, having only won 28 out of 71 rounds played on attack.
They will need to rally up against a 100 Thieves squad that is coming off of a strong 2-0 victory against Evil Geniuses. The Brazilians will need to hope that whatever changes were made has brought enough of a difference to boost their confidence on stage.
