One wasn’t enough: LOUD crowned VALORANT Champions 2026 winners for the second time
For the first time in VALORANT esports history, LOUD has won the VALORANT Champions Tour 2026 - Champions Shanghai for a second time. Four years after their first title, the Brazilian organization has made history once again with a young roster, taking home the trophy and a share of the $1 million prize pool.
LOUD defeated Team Vitality 3–1 in the Grand Final, securing the title and marking the first VALORANT Champions victory of every player and coach on the roster.
LOUD 2026: "One day, it could be you. Believe!"
After LOUD’s historic 2022 victory, the Brazilian VALORANT scene was never the same, as the organization brought home the most prestigious title in the competitive scene with a roster that left its mark on history. Four years later, five young players, some of whom made their Tier 1 debut in 2026, have reclaimed the crown for Brazil, ushering in a new generation of talent.
In a hard-fought series, only one team could lift the trophy, and once again, Europe fell short of the title. After losing to the Americas in 2025, Team Vitality failed to break the curse, falling 3–1 to LOUD in the Grand Final.
As Lucca "luk xo" Travaioli said before stepping onto the stage, “One day it could be you, believe.” This young LOUD roster turned those words into reality, making history as the first organization to win the VALORANT Champions title twice.
Along with the prestigious Champions title, LOUD will also take home a share of the $1 million prize pool.
A Day for the History Books
Making history, David "DaviH" Cruz became the first Portuguese player to win VALORANT Champions, while Sebastián "Darker" Cicuamia and Roberto "erde" Lobos became the first Colombian and Chilean players, respectively, to lift the trophy. Assistant coach Miguel "Bati" Batista also made history, becoming the first Portuguese coach to win the VALORANT Champions title.
Roberto "erde" Lobos was the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the tournament. At just 18 years old, LOUD’s in-game leader delivered one of the most impressive runs at Champions 2026, earning the nickname “The Prophecy child” in Brazil. He also received the MVP bracelet, a tradition at every edition of the tournament.
This roster also became the youngest ever to reach a VALORANT Champions Grand Final, capping off the season with one of the most incredible runs in the tournament’s history.
For Team Vitality, Champions 2026 marked the French organization's best-ever finish at the tournament, despite falling short of lifting the trophy. For the third time, Timofey "Chronicle" Khromov reached a Champions Grand Final, becoming the first player in history to achieve this feat. However, he finished as the runner-up on all three occasions.
