MAD Lions, a popular Spanish esports organisation, has announced they will enter the VALORANT Game Changers (GC) and compete in EMEA. The announcement was made on March 29 via a Twitter post. The roster includes players from the team Nyme Warriors and is named Mad Lions Laurë.

MAD Lions entered back into the VALORANT by acquiring a NA Challengers League free-agent team Dark Ratio in February 2023. Signing the Spanish team from a popular organization as MAD Lions shows positive growth for the VALORANT Game Changers scene. All the players have past GC experience and should not be overlooked in the upcoming tournament.

MAD Lions Laurë TO PARTICIPATE IN GAME CHANGERS EMEA OPEN QUALIFIERS

The new GC squad will be participating in the Game Changers Open Qualifications scheduled for April 5-9. To qualify for the VCT Game Changers EMEA: Stage 1, the team needs to win in a best of three (BO3), single elimination brackets for four rounds straight.

The remaining eight teams qualified for the fourth round will secure their spot for the VCT Game Changers EMEA: Stage 1. The losing teams from the fourth round will have a chance to play in the Last Chance Bracket for the remaining three spots. Where Round 1 will be single elimination, where the losing team will be eliminated, the winners of Round 2 will secure their spot, and the winners of Round 3 will secure the final spot of the VALORANT Game Changers EMEA.

Riot Games have allowed the players to stream their POVs during the open qualifications under a few conditions. For example, the stream should exclude voice comms, have a minimum delay of three minutes and have removed sponsor integration.
