Meet the VALORANT developers!

The excitement is getting bigger and bigger! VALORANT will be out in a little bit over a week and today we were blessed with a special video from the developers of VALORANT. Product Manager, Anna “SuperCakes” Donlon, and Design Director, Joe “Ziggs” Ziegler take us to the place where the highly anticipated game is being created.

From that video, we learn that there are over 100 developers working currently on the game divided into various departments such as maps and character design, engineers and so on. Before the official launch of the VALORANT closed beta, the game was tested in terms of Friends & Family, which means a not that huge community being able to play the game. Around 5000 people had access to the game, to make sure everything is working fine. Now, once the developers are feeling confident to launch the game to the wider audience, they expect hundreds of thousands of players to check out VALORANT.

During the test phase, the developers have spent a lot of hours actually playing their new title to try all of the features we will be able to see in the game.

What’s worth mentioning is the fact that the people behind this game are creating it with the competitive players in mind which only confirms how highly esports focused the new game is going to be. Because of that, the developers are aware that VALORANT might not be a game popular among the casual audience, but at the same time, they hope many people will enjoy this game, even if they won’t have the greatest results.

The developers promise to listen to the community and to catch the voices of everyone who will provide feedback during the closed beta.
