MIBR complete their new lineup with Verno and tex

The final missing pieces for MIBR to finalize its roster for the 2026 season are falling into place. According to a report by THESPIKE Brazil, the organization has reached a verbal agreement with Ian "tex" Botsch, and has also extended Andrew "Verno" Maust's contract. With both players having agreed to a deal with MIBR, only the signing of their contracts remains now for the two to be officially announced.

    Verno chooses MIBR over Sentinels

Despite being tested by Sentinels, Verno prioritized remaining with MIBR as long as Erick "aspas" Santos also stayed with the team.

Signed as a replacement for Agustin "nzr" Ibarra after VALORANT Champions Tour 2025 - Americas Kickoff, Verno quickly won over the Brazilian fanbase thanks to his strong performances with the team. As the current IGL, he led the team to a top 3 finish at VALORANT Champions Tour 2025 - Americas Stage 1 and 5th–6th place at VALORANT Champions Tour 2025 - Valorant Champions. Now, surrounded by a new roster, Verno will be hoping to take MIBR one step further on the international stage.

    Tex beats johnqt

A name personally requested by aspas, tex became MIBR’s top target to take on the Sentinel role and round out the Brazilian team’s new lineup. He became a free agent after parting ways with Leviatán at the end of last season.

Competing with tex for the final spot on the roster was none other than Sentinels star Amine "Johnqt" Ouarid. In the end, though, MIBR opted to go with the German-American player instead.

It's worth noting that tex played alongside aspas in 2024, with the duo winning the VCT 2024 - Americas Stage 2 title and coming very close to lifting the world trophy that same year, finishing 3rd at VCT 2024 - Champions 2024. In 2025, though, tex and Leviatán had a disappointing season in terms of results and missed out on all international tournaments in the discipline.

Now, with the renewals of aspas and Verno finalized, and the signings of Zachary "zekken" Patrone, Roberto "Mazino" Rivas, and tex in place, MIBR has completed its lineup for the 2026 competitive season. The team will continue to be coached by Danny "fRoD" Montaner.

MIBR likely VALORANT roster for 2026:

    • Brazil Erick "aspas" Santos
    • United States Zachary "zekken" Patrone
    • United States Andrew "Verno" Maust
    • Chile Roberto "Mazino" Rivas
    • United States Ian "tex" Botsch
    • United States Danny "fRoD" Montaner (Coach)
