Esports organization MOUZ has officially announced that they will be stepping away from VALORANT following the 2025 season.

“The current VCT format does not align with our ambition as a team, and we do not see place for us in the current ecosystem.”

MOUZ first made their entry into VALORANT prior to the start of the VCT 2022 season. Since then, the team continued to remain a steadfast presence in Tier Two EMEA all throughout the first three years of VALORANT franchising.

Their most successful year in VALORANT came during the VCT 2024 season when MOUZ qualified for VCT 2024 - Ascension: EMEA, where the team ultimately finished in 5th-6th place.

    What’s next for MOUZ?

Now, after four years, MOUZ will make their exit away from VALORANT as they focus on other esports titles, such as Counter-Strike 2. While MOUZ are exiting VALORANT for the indefinite future, it will be interesting to see if they eventually make their way back into the game as the VCT circuit is set to receive numerous changes for the VCT 2026 season.

“We want to sincerely thank our partners, players, and coaches for their support and dedication to our VALORANT journey in the last three years.”

For now, teams will utilize the remainder of the offseason to prepare for the VCT 2026 season. Unlike previous seasons, Tier Two teams will also have an opportunity to fight for a spot at VALORANT Champions Shanghai at the end of the year.

VALORANT Champions Tour 2026 - EMEA Kickoff will begin on January 20, 2025, where 12 teams will compete for one of the region's three spots at VALORANT Masters Santiago to become the first international VCT champion of the 2026 season.
