NRG continue roster shuffle by benching KOLER

NRG have been a team in turmoil, going through various different members as they’ve tried to make the high-profile team work. The latest victim is Yannick "KOLER" Blanchette, who has been benched from the team.

KOLER was signed from Immortals in October when NRG’s roster was being put together, and was originally intended to fill a duelist role. During the team’s unsuccessful First Strike run, he mostly played Phoenix, with the odd match on Raze or Reyna. Lately, though, as part of the roster shuffling, he’s been back on the Sentinel role he normally occupied on Immortals in favour of trial Ryan "Shanks" Ngo. But after NRG’s disastrous showing at the Nerd Street Gamers - Monthly November, where they fell out last in their group after losses to TradeLikePros Gold and Spot Up, it was certain more changes were coming, and it seems the axe has fallen on KOLER this time.

KOLER’s announcement doesn’t mention anything about looking for new opportunities, and it seems for now he is still fully with the team. In fact, it’s almost likely we see him return given what has been going on with NRG. For now, though, we’ll have to wait and see whether yet another round of changes can make things work.

    NRG are now:

Canada Damien “daps” Steele United States Sam “s0m” Oh Canada Daniel “eeiu” Vucenovic Canada Yannick “KOLER” Blanchette (Benched)

United States Chet “Chet” Singh (Coach)
