NRG has officially added Ryan "Shanks" Ngo to their roster. The Canadian joins a number of his compatriots, including Daniel "eeiu" Vucenovic, Damian "daps" Steele, and Yannick "KOLER" Blanchette. The latter recently was revealed to be benched, hinting towards yet another round of changes to make things work. NRG Esports had parted ways with Loic "effys" Sauvageau in late November, leaving room for Shanks to join the squad and complete the team.

Shanks is a former Counter-Strike: Global Offensive player with extensive experience under his belt transitioning over to VALORANT. He placed 2nd in the ESEA Advanced Season 33 North America, while finishing 5-8th in all of the Americas Minor North America Open Qualifier 4 ESL One Rio, DreamHack Masters Spring 2020 North America Open Qualifiers, and cs_summit 6 North America Open Qualifier.

Shanks was a part of Prospects prior to being picked up by Dignitas. Since then, he went on to finish 5th-8th in both the CLG BLITZ CUP #2 and the Nerd Street Gamers x FaZe Clan Qualifier #2. Meanwhile, he managed to place 4th in the Pop Flash VALORANT Invitational and 3rd-4th in the Trovo Challenge - North America.

Throughout his VALORANT career, he has averaged a solid 223, putting up a 1.02 K/D, and dealing 128.7 Average Damage per Round. Not only that, his versatility in playing all of Reyna, Jett, and Raze confidently during competitions prove the talent he brings to any team he is on.

The current NRG VALORANT roster consists of:

Canada Damian "daps" Steele United States Sam "s0m" Oh Canada Daniel "eeiu" Vucenovic Canada Ryan "Shanks" Ngo Canada Yannick "KOLER" Blanchette (Benched)

United States Chet “Chet” Singh (Coach)
