Power moves: The most promising rebuilds of the 2025 VALORANT offseason
The 2025 offseason has been one for the books. Major roster changes have taken place across the regions, with big players rebranding and entire teams getting a fresh look. Organizations are excited to showcase their revamped rosters as the 2026 VCT season starts kicking off in all regions. But just as VCT starts kicking off globally, here are the most promising rebuilds of the 2025 offseason you should keep an eye on heading into the following competitive season.
Americas
In the Americas, nearly all teams have, in one way or another, made significant changes to their rosters for next year. Big-name players have left their former organizations to create new legacies on other teams.
Sentinels
A major move in the region is Sentinels star player Zachary "zekken" Patrone leaving after three years with the fan-favorite team. Sentinels also announced the departures of Jordan "Zellsis" Montemurro and Sean "bang" Bezerra early in the offseason, leaving only in-game leader Amine "Johnqt" Ouarid and Marshall "N4RRATE" Massey on the active roster. In their place, SEN Reduxx and SEN Kyu from Cubert Academy have moved up to the big league, and Brazilian talent Gabriel "cortezia" Cortez was poached from MIBR. With two players of whom are new to Tier 1 and one with major success in Brazil, Sentinels are heading into 2026 with a completely new look.
MIBR
MIBR is arguably having one of the most promising rebuilds in the Americas. As previously mentioned, rumors about Sentinels Duelist Zekken leaving the organization came true when MIBR announced their new roster. With both Erick "aspas" Santos and Zekken on the squad, MIBR is looking dangerous and ready for 2026. Zekken isn’t the only new addition to the squad. Alongside him are Ian "tex" Botsch from Leviatán and Roberto "Mazino" Rivas from KRÜ Esports, making the Brazilian roster feel less "Brazilian" than ever before, with Aspas being the only Brazilian left on the team.
100 Thieves
Before the 2025 season wrapped up, 100 Thieves announced a massive rebuild in September, letting all of their players explore options. The rebuild is now complete, with only Peter "Asuna" Mazuryk and Matthew "Cryocells" Panganiban remaining from the old squad. Three new players have been recruited, including Jordan "vora" Pulwer and Timothée "Timotino" Dupont from TSM, who impressed during the VALORANT Champions Tour 2025 - Ascension Americas. bang also left Sentinels to rejoin his old org. After a disappointing VALORANT Champions Tour 2025 - Americas Stage 2 for 100T, Vora with his IGL skills and Timotino’s recklessness could be just what they need for a fresh start.
KRÜ
The biggest rebuild in the Americas comes from KRÜ, who have completely revamped their roster, keeping only Jesús "Dantedeu5" Larrosa from the old squad. After being one of the first teams eliminated from the Stage 2 playoffs, KRÜ realized drastic changes were necessary and legends like Angelo "Keznit" Mori said goodbye to the org. Felipe "Less" Basso and Matias "Saadhak" Delipetro, former teammates from LOUD, had short stints in EMEA with Team Vitality and Karmine Corp, but are now reunited in the Americas. The other two new players are Brazilians Leonardo "mwzera" Serrati, who made a name for himself with FURIA in 2022, and Caio "silentzz" Morita, who made his VCT debut in 2025 after winning VCT 2024 - Ascension: AMERICAS with 2GAME Esports. With four new faces, KRÜ will need to show improvement in the 2026 season.
EMEA
Team Vitality
Team Vitality started their offseason with a bang by signing Fnatic’s beloved player Timofey "Chronicle" Khromov, and they didn’t stop there. After saying goodbye to Kimmie "Kicks" Laasner, Less, and Bartosz "UNFAKE" Bernacki, three spots were open for new players. After Chronicle, Vitality announced the signings of BBL Esports’s power duo, Elias "Jamppi" Olkkonen and Dawid "PROFEK" Święć. BBL had a surprisingly good run in VALORANT Champions Tour 2025 - EMEA Stage 2, finishing in third place. By reuniting Nikita "Derke" Sirmitev and Chronicle while also acquiring the respected IGL Jamppi, Vitality has seemingly created a powerhouse team. The roster is stacked with major names and tons of experience, setting them up for success in 2026.
Team Liquid
One of the latest roster announcements came from Team Liquid in December. Star player Ayaz "nAts" Akhmetshin will continue his journey with Liquid in 2026, but this time with new teammates by his side. The brothers from Team Heretics were split, with Dominykas "MiniBoo" Lukaševičius leaving Ričardas "Boo" Lukaševičius and the team in September. Liquid seized the opportunity and signed Miniboo, alongside two other new players. Wayne "wayne" Chang, a player from Singapore with experience in Tier 2, and Seymon "purp0" Borchev, a former GIANTX player, round out the new squad. The Liquid 2026 lineup will feature nAts, Kamil "kamo" Frąckowiak, Miniboo, purpo, and wayne.
Gentle Mates
Another EMEA team making big changes in the offseason is Gentle Mates. After their relegation from the EMEA league in August, Gentle Mates released their entire 2025 roster. However, when a partnered spot became available, Gentle Mates were welcomed back and needed players. The only player from the old squad to be re-signed was Patrik "Minny" Hušek. Two of the new additions, Conner "GLYPH" Garcia and Taranvir "bipo" Singh, are rookies who have only played in Tier 2. Their new IGL is the experienced Patryk "starxo" Kopczynski, who has history with both Acend and KOI. The roster is completed by Martin "marteen" Pátek from KC.
Pacific
The Pacific region has had a relatively calm offseason, with a few notable player moves, such as Patrick "PatMen" Mendoza leaving Paper Rex. However, only a few teams have undergone major rebuilds.
Team Secret
Team Secret has had the biggest offseason rebuild in the Pacific region. The only remaining players from the old Filipino roster are Kelly Kent "KellyS" Sedillo, who joined midseason in June, and long-time sub Jessie "JessieVash" Cristy Cucyo. Former T1 controller player Ko "Sylvan" Young-sub joined Team Secret, alongside Kim "TenTen" Tae-young from ZETA DIVISION and Rizkie "BerserX" Adla Kusuma from BOOM Esports. TenTen will take on the Duelist role, while BerserX will hold the fort as the Sentinel. JessieVash is the staple Initiator, and Sylvan will continue to do what he does best in the Controller role. Team Secret had a rough 2025 season, not making it to any international event. But the mix of older and new players can give Team Secret a better chance in the new season.
Global Esports
Indian organization Global Esports has acquired three new players for the upcoming season. One of them is the beloved Patmen, who recently left Paper Rex. The other two are Kale "autumn" Dunne, who has a long history with FunPlus Phoenix, and Xavier "xavi8k" Juan, who is new to the Tier 1 scene. Global Esports bombed out of VALORANT Champions Tour 2025 - Pacific Stage 2 early in the group stage, but with new players who have more experience, 2026 has a promising look for the org.
China
The Chinese region has had the quietest offseason of all the regions. Only one team stands out with its roster changes: Wolves Esports.
Wolves Esports
In November, Wolves Esports welcomed three new Chinese players to their squad. Fei "Satoshi" Zhixian, who recently played on Rare Atom and fought for a VCT spot in VALORANT Champions Tour 2025 - Ascension China 2025, impressed Wolves after Rare Atom lost to Dragon Ranger Gaming in the Grand Final. Jordan "jowa" Wang is completely new to the VCT scene, having only played for minor teams as a flex player. On the other hand, Wang "yosemite" Lei has experience with both Bilibili Gaming and FunPlus Phoenix before getting picked up by Wolves. Under the guidance of Pong "SiuFatBB" Ka Hei, Wolves will aim to recreate the impact they made during their run at VALORANT Champions Tour 2025 - Masters Toronto 2025.
With the Kickoff event right around the corner, teams are eager to show off their new looks for the fans. To stay updated on all things VALORANT, stay tuned to THESPIKE.GG.
