Redgar officially LFT after a year away from competitive play
He’s back. After more than a year away from the server, Igor "Redgar" Vlasov is officially looking for a team and is ready to return to tier-one competitive VALORANT. The 27-year-old Russian in-game leader, best known for his legendary run with Gambit Esports (now M3 Champions), announced on X that his "reset" is complete and he’s actively looking for new opportunities ahead of the 2025 offseason.
Investing in Himself
Redgar made it clear in his post that his time away from the VCT wasn’t a break, but rather a grid. During his year off from competitive play, he spent 2025 refining his mechanics and honing his IGL skills. Coming back from a long reset has made him more driven to return to the professional stage.
Now, he’s looking to slot in as an IGL, captain, and support player for a team wanting to rebuild their roster heading into 2026.
Experience on Top-Tier Teams
Redgar remains one of the most experienced IGLs in the VALORANT scene. From 2020 to 2022, he captained Gambit Esports (later M3 Champions) alongside stars like Ayaz "nAts" Akhmetshin and Timofey "Chronicle" Khromov, winning VCT 2021 - Stage 3 - EMEA - Challengers Playoffs and securing a dominant victory at VCT 2021 - Stage 3 - Masters Berlin - Playoffs, earning their first international trophy. The squad nearly pulled off back-to-back international titles at VCT 2021 - VALORANT Champions 2021, but were narrowly taken down by Acend in the Grand Final.
After M3’s disbandment, Redgar and nAts joined Team Liquid, keeping him in the VCT through the 2023 season. While with Liquid, he added a VCT 2023 - EMEA League title to his résumé. Unfortunately, the Liquid squad couldn't deliver at VCT 2023 - Masters Tokyo, where they placed 6th, and were later eliminated early at VCT 2023 - Champions. Liquid then parted ways with Redgar during their roster rebuild heading into 2024.
Redgar's most recent stint was with GIANTX in 2024, where he signed on as their new IGL. The season turned out to be disappointing, as GIANTX failed to qualify for any international events. In June 2024, Redgar was benched and has since been inactive in the VCT.
Comeback time
Redgar is now a veteran free agent with a proven track record on the international stage, offering leadership, structure, and clutch experience to any team looking to rebuild or level up heading into 2025. The offseason will now determine whether the Russian IGL can mount his comeback in the VCT scene.
