Velocity gaming makes a return to VALORANT

After the disappointing results of 2023, the Indian organization shut down operations indefinitely. Once heralded as one of the most promising rosters in the Indian competitive scene, the organization looks to do the same in Oceania. Their roster is expected to be the Bonkers roster of 2023 with a few changes.

BONKERS previously were the undisputed best team in Oceania after qualifying for VCT 2023 Ascension: Pacific. They managed to secure a top six finish, losing to BOOM Esports in the playoffs. The changes to the roster include the return of Nick "tixx" Quinn and Elvin "Maple" Sun. They will be replacing Lewis "WAT" Watson and Riley "rDeeW" Wilkinson.

Maple and Minimise previously played in VCT China prior to the announcement of the Chinese Franchise league for 2024. The other player with international experience is tixx who previously played in VCL SA for Gods Reign. The roster features some of the best talent the region has to offer and looks like a phenomenal investment from Velocity Gaming. at least on paper.

The complete roster is expected to be made up of:

  • Nick "tixx" Quinn
  • Elvin "Maple" Sun
  • Jackson "Minimise" White
  • Luis "LEW" H
  • Nicholas "dragon" Aleksandrovsky

It will be interesting to see how far this roster makes it in VCL Oceania. Make sure to check out our stats page to see the current VALORANT meta and catch the latest transfer rumors on our news page!
