This monumental win not only marks a defining moment for the RRQ organization but also for Indonesian VALORANT.

    Gen.G’s Veto Advantage Falls Short

Coming into the final, Gen.G held a favorable map veto advantage, having advanced from the upper bracket. They made good on that edge early, taking the opening map Haven with a convincing 13-8 scoreline. It was a strong start from the Golden Tigers, but ultimately, it wasn’t enough.

From that point on, RRQ flipped the script. Led by a ferocious performance from jemkin, RRQ began to dismantle Gen.G’s momentum. The remaining three maps swung in RRQ’s favor, with every round becoming a showcase of resilience and precision. By the time the series reached Icebox, Maxim "Jemkin" Batorov found a partner in Cahya "Monyet" Nugraha, and the two tore through Gen.G’s defenses with a combined 49 kills, sealing the map 13-11 and the series 3-1.

    Breaking the Paper Rex–Gen.G Stronghold

This Grand Final wasn’t just a title match; it was symbolic. Since the inception of franchising, no team outside of Paper Rex and Gen.G had lifted a Pacific trophy. RRQ’s path to the title went through both of those giants, beating Paper Rex in the Lower Bracket Final and then Gen.G in the Grand Final. If there was ever a way to earn a crown, this was it.

    Eyes on Toronto

With this win, RRQ managed to lock in their playoffs spot at VALORANT Champions Tour 2025 - Masters Toronto 2025. It will be their first international appearance - a proud moment for the organization and for Indonesian esports fans. Now, they will carry the flag of not just their team but an entire nation into the global arena.

As for Gen.G, their second-place finish builds on their third-place showing at VALORANT Champions Tour 2025 - Pacific Kickoff, proving that they remain one of the top teams in the region. They, too, will travel to Toronto, albeit through the group stage. After missing out on VALORANT Champions Tour 2025 - Masters Bangkok 2025, they’ll be eager to reassert themselves on the world stage.

RRQ’s triumph feels like the dawn of a new era in Pacific VALORANT. With the duopoly of Paper Rex and Gen.G finally broken, the region has a fresh champion.
