Gustavo "Sacy" Rossi has been considered one of the most successful professional VALORANT players of all-time. He hasn't been gone too long, but recently, rumors have popped up in the community regarding a possible return to stage play. As a result, the Brazilian superstar was forced to iron out all of the details on his stream.

Sacy unlikely to get back on stage

In a cryptic tweet on March 5, the 27-year-old said “news coming soon” in Portuguese with the classic GIF of someone signing a contract that all pros seem to use when they’ve locked in a deal with a team. In the replies, the official MIBR account responded with a couple of different emojis, including a hand with a pen and a saluting face.

However, after such a resounding response from his fans and the general VCT community, Sacy finally confirmed during his stream that he was not returning to stage play any time soon.

I'm starting to feel bad for my fans and viewers. Guys, let me tell you something, man, Sacy is retired, he's not coming back to play. I'm starting to feel bad seeing you guys thinking I'll return to playing.

Sacy said that he just moved, just got a dog, and was setting up a studio. He also said that although he felt “honored” that so many people wanted him to come back, he said that the reason he stopped playing was because he was unmotivated and was “heading towards burnout.”

He did give his fans a sliver of hope because he did mention that he needed time to rest and that maybe in one or two years, he’d see if a return was on the cards. This year, however, he would not be stepping foot back on stage.

Sacy has maintained a faithful fanbase with his streams, averaging around 4,900 viewers over the last 30 days with just over one million hours watched, according to TwitchTracker. He has streamed for around 219 hours throughout the last month, showing his consistency and popularity in the community.

He usually streams VALORANT ranked gameplay, and does co-stream various VALORANT events. If you are interested in keeping up with any possible big roster moves, stay locked in with THESPIKE.GG for all the stats and breaking news.
