Sentinels part ways with Zellsis ahead of VCT 2026 season
Sentinels have revealed they have parted ways with Jordan "Zellsis" Montemurro ahead of the VCT 2026 season, marking the end of his two-plus-year tenure with the team.
In 2025, Sentinels stood as a strong domestic contenders throughout the VCT Americas 2025 season and were one of three teams to qualify for all the VCT international events.
This was Zellsis’ second stint with the popular North American VALORANT organization, his first being a brief appearance in 2022 for the North America Last Chance Qualifier. However, after a year with Cloud9 during the VCT 2023 season, Zellsis moved over to Sentinels before the start of the VCT 2024 season, initially as a sub. He was promoted to the starting lineup ahead of VCT 2024 Kickoff due to his strong offseason showing with Sentinels.
Zellsis enjoyed a formidable VCT 2024 season, during which the veteran VALORANT player won VCT 2024 - Masters Madrid and reached the top four at VCT 2024 - Champions 2024.
Unfortunately, the team was unable to make any significant strides internationally, with their most disappointing performance being a 13th-16th place finish at VALORANT Champions Tour 2025 - Valorant Champions. This resulted in Sentinels CEO Rob Moore, revealing that the team would be undergoing trials, shaking up the lineup going into 2026. So far, the team has officially parted ways with Controller player Sean "bang" Bezerra ahead of the VCT 2026 season, and it is expected that the team will make further changes.
Where will Zellsis go next?
Some reports indicate Zellsis might be returning to Cloud9 for the upcoming season, where he would be reunited with his former Version1 head coach Ian "Immi" Harding and Cloud9 teammate Erick "Xeppaa" Bach.
Zellsis will look to leverage his international experience to help lead his next team back to the international stage and to the top of the VALORANT scene.
