Team Liquid continue to rebuild the roster for the upcoming EMEA season as they have parted ways with the third player from last year. According to the latest announcement, Igor "Redgar" Vlasov has left the team, but his next move is still unknown, and so is Liquid’s.

Team Liquid parted ways with three players from last year

Redgar is not the first player to leave the roster before the upcoming season. Liquid’s rebuild started with soulcas, who competed for the organization between 2020 and 2023. Secondly, Liquid announced Sayf’s departure, who then joined Team Vitality to continue his career in the region. Now, Redgar is the third to leave Liquid’s roster at the end of the 2023 season. The Russian player joined TL at the beginning of 2023 alongside nAts, and he played an important role in the organization’s triumph in VCT 2023: EMEA League.

Last year, Team Liquid made a slow start and placed 17th-32th in VCT 2023 LOCK//IN Sao Paulo. They faced an unexpected loss against Team Secret, but the roster improved their chemistry over time and showed much better performances in the regional challenge. Liquid won the EMEA League trophy and qualified for the international tournaments. They placed 5th-65h in VCT 2023: Masters Tokyo and 13th-16th in VALORANT Champions 2023. After an unsuccessful international run, the organization decided to go for a rebuild and part ways with the majority of their roster. Edgar currently holds a 0.93 rating and a 0.95 rating, but if you know Redgar, you know that he is not a “stat player” but more of a mastermind behind the team’s tactics and in-game performance. He is expected to find a new team soon, maybe not in EMEA but another franchise league.

With Redgar’s departure, Liquid only have two active players on their roster, and they are:
