Team Shazoo disband VALORANT team after a controversial performance
Earlier this month we announced that a Scottish organization, Team Shazoo, acquired a German squad to compete in VALORANT with the goal of being the most successful team in the DACH region. Shortly after the announcement, it was revealed that Marcel “scoutmejster” R. is leaving the team due to personal reasons and the organization is currently looking for his replacement.
As the team was looking for new players and were trying some of them out, the happiness of the squad didn’t last that long, as one week ago, during the third edition of Wave Cup, the squad got disqualified after finding out one the players of Team Shazoo, **Bastian “derspo” S., was using prohibited tools to boost his in-game performance. **
On the same day, the organization issued a Twitlonger in which Team Shazoo disagreed with the decision taken by the administration of the tournament due to the lack of proof. However, multiple players that took part in the tournament agreed on the fact that the mentioned individual was indeed using cheats during the games.
After some backlash from the community, in which Team Shazoo was affected in a very negative way, the organization has decided to release the roster after the controversial performance in the Wave Cup.
As mentioned in the official announcement on Team Shazoo’s social media, the Scottish organization still wants to compete in VALORANT and will start to look for the new players that will proudly represent them on the international scene and will help them in rebuilding their reputation as it got harmed due to the presence of the cheaters in the previous roster.
