Team Vitality signs CyvOph to VALORANT roster
A week before the start of VALORANT Champions Tour 2025 - EMEA Stage 1, Team Vitality has made a few roster changes to their VALORANT division. The team has officially announced the addition of Clement "CyvOph" Millard to the team, with Nikita "trexx" Cherednichenko getting benched as a result.
In search for a strong foundation
The decision to move Trexx to the bench was explained by the team's head coach Daniel "Faded" Hwang, who said that Vitality has a roster with plenty of accomplished players such as Nikita "Derke" Sirmitev, Felipe "Less" Basso, and Saif "Sayf" Jibraeel. According to Faded, those three players "need a strong support system around them," and Kimmie "Kicks" Laasner has become an indispensable member of the core roster. His impact on the team, both in and out of game, has become too important to lose. In the eyes of Vitality management, CyvOph is a player that "can make the difference" when it comes to Vitality's efforts. Faded says that CyvOph is a young talent that "brings immense potential, motivation, and has a natural synergy with the team."
Additionally, Vitality has signed Ștefan "Sayonara" Mîtcu as part of the "long term vision" of the organization. The 17-year-old will continue playing in VCL 2025 - France: Revolution Stage 2 with DVM on loan to help him continue his development by playing official matches.
CyvOph has achieved a longtime career goal that he has had since 2021. He has been aiming to join Vitality's VALORANT team since then, and has finally worked hard enough to earn his place with the popular French organization. This will be his first time playing on a VCT stage, presenting a massive amount of pressure. He will need to play at his best , since he won't just be playing alongside some of the most iconic players in EMEA history, but he'll also be facing off against the best players in the world and some of the most experienced players.
