Only one day has passed since the announcement of Shanks leaving the NRG squad and we already know his replacement. Ian "tex" Botsch is joining the roster after a few weeks of being free agent following the disband of Equinox Esports.

tex was part of the Equinox squad between January and March were he mostly played a duelist role picking Phoenix, Raze and also Reyna on various maps. In his early career in VALORANT, when he was playing with Mamba Mode Gaming, he was also their Sova player. Considering that Bradley "ANDROID" Fodor is the current duelist for NRG focusing on the same agents that tex used to play on Equinox, we will need to wait and see how the team will adapt their agent composition going in to VCT Stage 2.

During his VALORANT career tex has quite impressive numbers all around including a Rating of 1.27 during 2021 and an average ACS of 249 throughout all the matches he played. Notable accomplishments during his tenure with Equinox, tex achieved two 4th places, one in NSG 2021 Winter Championship and the other one in NSG x Complexity Invitational. With Mamba Mode Gaming, back in October 2020, he also finished 3rd in Nerd Street Gamers - Monthly October after XSET and Moon Raccoons.

With this roster update, NRG now will be:

Canada Damian “daps” Steele United States Sam “s0m” Oh Canada Daniel “eeiu” Vucenovic United States Gage “Infinite” Green Canada Bradley “ANDROID” Fodor United States Ian "tex" Botsch

United States Chet “Chet” Singh (Coach)
