The top performing players of the VCT Americas Stage 1: Beasts of the region
The VALORANT Champions Tour 2025 - Americas Stage 1 drew to a thumping finish after G2 Esports were crowned the first back-to-back champions of the region. Now, the time has come to look bad and take a peek at the players that stood out the most throughout the tournament after putting in the numbers week in and week out for their teams.
Top performers of the Americas Stage 1
Zekken
Zachary "zekken" Patrone has long stood as one of the brightest stars in the Americas, and this year's Stage 1 tournament proved no different. With the help of the rest of the Sentinels squad, zekken was able to show he's still got what it takes to lead a team at the highest level after making it all the way to the Grand Finals. After more than two years with Sentinels, zekken continues to be one of the deadliest duelists in the Americas.
One of the most complete duelists in the game, no player at Stage 1 was able to match zekken's ACS of 243.1.
Stage 1 stats:
- Rating: 1.20
- ACS: 243.1
- ADR: 150.9
- K/D: 1.23
- Agents: Yoru, Jett, Omen, Neon, Raze
- Maps played: 23
Cryocells
There is no other way to put it, Matthew "Cryocells" Panganiban has been lights out for 100 Thieves at Stage 1. The second-longest standing member of the team is showing no signs of decline after putting up what has been one of his greatest tournament runs to date, having finished Stage 1 with the highest number of kills per round (0.89) out of all players at the tournament.
If 100 Thieves stood just rounds away from eliminating G2 from the tournament, as well as VALORANT Champions Tour 2025 - Masters Toronto 2025 contention, then that was largely thanks to Cryo.
Stage 1 stats:
- Rating: 1.18
- ACS: 235.4
- ADR: 157.9
- K/D: 1.31
- Agents: Chamber, Sage, Yoru, Iso, Jett
- Maps played: 19
Aspas
What is there to say about Erick "aspas" Santos that hasn't been said already? Perhaps the biggest testament to his strength as a player is the fact that, after joining the team at the end of last year, aspas was able to turn MIBR from one of the worst teams in the region into a contender in a matter of months.
The Brazilian superstar continues to impress, this time putting up the single highest K/D ratio at Stage 1 at a ludicrous 1.35.
Stage 1 stats:
- Rating: 1.18
- ACS: 241.4
- ADR: 152.3
- K/D: 1.35
- Agents: Jett, Waylay, Neon
- Maps played: 23
Leaf
The only non-duelist in the top 5, Nathan "leaf" Orf has dazzled at Stage 1. The fact that the North American player was able to put up such impressive numbers while playing sentinels, a role which does not often get to shine on the scoreboard, speaks volumes to the importance of leaf in G2's back-to-back trophy runs in the Americas.
The most impressive part, though? Leaf was able to maintain his superlative level of play across 30 maps and more than 660 rounds of play, the most out of any player on this list by a wide margin.
Stage 1 stats:
- Rating: 1.17
- ACS: 236.0
- ADR: 153.6
- K/D: 1.19
- Agents: Vyse, Viper, Killjoy, Cypher
- Maps played: 30
Keznit
Though Angelo "Keznit" Mori will be disappointed in his team's early exit from the playoffs, the Chilean star can hold his head high knowing he was one of the best players at Stage 1. One thing is certain, though, Keznit will need more help from the rest of the KRÜ Esports squad if he has any hopes of getting his hands on an Americas trophy anytime soon.
Stage 1 stats:
- Rating: 1.16
- ACS: 238.9
- ADR: 153.4
- K/D: 1.12
- Agents: Raze, Yoru, Jett, Neon
- Maps played: 16
The lukxo phenomenon
After coming in half way through the Group Stage to try and save the sinking ship of LOUD at Stage 1, Lucca "lukxo" Travaioli took the Americas by storm. Though he was ineligible to make this list due to his small number of maps played, the young Brazilian managed to lead the league in rating (1.32), ACS (270.4), and ADR (172.8) after his 9 maps of play at the tournament.
While the future looks uncertain for LOUD, the team should certainly try and hold on to the gemstone that is lukxo with all that they've got.
