VALORANT Masters Veterans: the top 5 most experienced players in Masters history
The VALORANT Champions Tour has taken fans across the globe - from Reykjavik to Tokyo, Copenhagen to Shanghai - with each Masters event offering a snapshot of the game’s ever-evolving meta and its most dominant teams. But while lineups shift and new stars rise, a select group of players have remained a constant presence on the international stage.
This list spotlights the five players who’ve made the most appearances at VALORANT Masters events.
This list covers only players attending VCT 2025 - Masters Toronto 2025, excluding inactive names like Gustavo "Sacy" Rossi and Nikita "Derke" Sirmitev, and does not include any Champions or VCT 2023 - LOCK//IN.
From Paper Rex’s unbreakable trio to Fnatic’s ever-charismatic leader and Gen.G Esports’s late-blooming veteran, these players have helped shape the storylines of competitive VALORANT time and time again.
1. f0rsaken - 6 Masters Appearances (Paper Rex)
Masters Attended:
- VCT 2021 - Stage 3 - Masters Berlin - Group Stage (13th–15th)
- VCT 2022 - Stage 1 - Masters Reykjavík (4th)
- VCT 2022 - Stage 2 - Masters Copenhagen (2nd)
- VCT 2023 - Masters Tokyo (3rd)
- VCT 2024 - Masters Madrid (3rd)
- VCT 2024 - Masters Shanghai (5th–6th)
Since joining Paper Rex in 2021, Jason "f0rsakeN" Susanto has become one of VALORANT’s most complete players, and arguably its best flex. He’s appeared at all six Masters events which PRX managed to qualify for, a streak only matched by two teammates.
f0rsaken’s impact goes beyond mechanics; his role-swapping versatility - from Sova to Neon, Omen to Fade - allows PRX to adapt freely across maps and comps. His flexibility and measured aggression perfectly eombodies the PRX playstyle the team solidified over the years.
From early struggles in Berlin to podium finishes in Copenhagen and Tokyo, f0rsaken has been the constant driving force behind PRX’s rise to global prominence.
2. d4v41 - 6 Masters Appearances (Paper Rex)
Masters Attended:
- VCT 2021 - Stage 3 - Masters Berlin - Group Stage (13th–15th)
- VCT 2022 - Stage 1 - Masters Reykjavík (4th)
- VCT 2022 - Stage 2 - Masters Copenhagen (2nd)
- VCT 2023 - Masters Tokyo (3rd)
- VCT 2024 - Masters Madrid (3rd)
- VCT 2024 - Masters Shanghai (5th–6th)
Khalish "d4v41" Rusyaidee is the glue that keeps Paper Rex together. Another one of only three players to attend all six Masters events with PRX, his consistency and adaptability have been crucial across evolving metas.
While primarily a sentinel player, d4v41 isn’t afraid to pick up a controller or initiator when needed, offering valuable flexibility in team compositions. His calm, disciplined presence balances PRX’s trademark aggression, providing structure without stifling creativity.
Whether anchoring sites or delivering in clutch moments, d4v41’s selfless, cerebral play enables his teammates to thrive, making him an essential, if often understated, force behind PRX’s sustained success.
3. mindfreak - 6 Masters Appearances (Paper Rex)
Masters Attended:
- VCT 2021 - Stage 3 - Masters Berlin - Group Stage (13th–15th)
- VCT 2022 - Stage 1 - Masters Reykjavík (4th)
- VCT 2022 - Stage 2 - Masters Copenhagen (2nd)
- VCT 2023 - Masters Tokyo (3rd)
- VCT 2024 - Masters Madrid (3rd)
- VCT 2024 - Masters Shanghai (5th–6th)
Aaron "mindfreak" Leonhart completes the PRX trio of iron men, having appeared in every Masters event since the team’s first international foray. As PRX’s dedicated controller, mindfreak often operates in the shadows - but his importance is anything but subtle.
His utility usage and clutch factor have proven invaluable on the biggest stages. While his role doesn’t always translate to flashy highlights, it’s his consistency and low-death anchor play that’s held PRX together across metas and rosters.
However, due to a shift in plans by Paper Rex, mindfreak will not be playing in Toronto. He has been replaced for the time being by Patrick "PatMen" Mendoza in the starting roster. Whether or not he returns to the stage still remains to be seen.
4. Boaster - 5 Masters Appearances (Fnatic)
Masters Attended:
- VCT 2021 - Stage 2 - Masters Reykjavík (2nd)
- VCT 2022 - Stage 1 - Masters Reykjavík (last place)
- VCT 2022 - Stage 2 - Masters Copenhagen (4th)
- VCT 2023 - Masters Tokyo (1st)
- VCT 2024 - Masters Shanghai (7th–8th)
Jake "Boaster" Howlett is not just a player - he’s become the face of Fnatic’s VALORANT division. As the only member of Fnatic to attend all five of the team’s Masters events, Boaster has remained their central pillar through highs and lows ever since the org picked up SUMN FC.
After heartbreak in early events, Boaster finally lifted the trophy at Masters Tokyo in 2023, cementing his place in VALORANT history. Despite roster changes around him, Boaster’s leadership, infectious energy, and relentless work ethic have kept Fnatic in the Masters mix every season.
5. Munchkin - 5 Masters Appearances (Crazy Raccoon, T1, Gen.G)
Masters Attended:
- VCT 2021 - Stage 2 - Masters Reykjavík (9th–10th)
- VCT 2021 - Stage 3 - Masters Berlin - Group Stage (9th–12th)
- VCT 2023 - Masters Tokyo (9th–10th)
- VCT 2024 - Masters Madrid (2nd)
- VCT 2024 - Masters Shanghai (1st)
Byeon "Munchkin" Sang-beom’s Masters journey is perhaps the most eclectic. He began his international career representing Crazy Raccoon in 2021, later resurfaced with T1 at Tokyo 2023, and now finds himself as the leader of Gen.G’s Masters-winning squad.
Munchkin’s transition from underdog to title contender has been remarkable. While he played more peripheral roles early on, his resurgence with Gen.G in 2024 - culminating in a Masters trophy in Shanghai - made Gen.G the first Pacific team to lift an international trophy, and solidified his status among the best in the game.
Masters Legacy
These five players embody the legacy of VALORANT Masters - consistent, adaptable, and vital to their teams’ success. As the game evolves, their presence proves that longevity in international VALORANT demands more than raw skill. At Masters Toronto 2025, they'll again lead the charge alongside the next wave of stars.
