Survivors of the opening round won't get a breather. Two more Tier-1 sides are waiting in Round 2 after narrowly missing direct playoff qualification.

ZETA DIVISION enter as a team on the rise. Their 2-3 group stage record included statement wins over FULL SENSE and RRQ, hinting at untapped potential. DetonatioN FocusMe might be Stage 2’s most compelling redemption story. Once infamous for VCT’s longest losing streak, DFM have transformed their fortunes. A positive group-stage record and wins over T1, Team Secret, and VARREL highlight their progress. Unlike other rebuilding teams, DFM have benefited from their roster and coaching changes, making them strong candidates for a playoff run.

T1’s presence in the Play-Ins is unexpected, especially after strong group-stage wins over PRX and DRX. However, surprise losses to DFM and VARREL denied them direct playoff qualification. The Korean super team still possesses enough talent and experience to recover. With their resilience and relentless mentality, T1’s route to the playoffs could prove straightforward if they rediscover their best form.

Nongshim RedForce complete the Round 2 Play-In lineup. After winning VALORANT Champions Tour 2026 - Masters Santiago 2026 earlier this year, NS have struggled to replicate that form in Stage 2. They narrowly edged RRQ on round difference, while victories over GE and ZETA prove their championship quality remains. However, opponents have adapted, forcing NS to produce something spectacular to reach the playoffs this time around.
