YFP has officially announced their finalized roster for the upcoming 2025 VALORANT Challengers Season via their X account. The team consists of:

    • Lucas "fiziq" Blow (IGL)
    • Erik "penny" Penny
    • Brady "thief" Dever
    • Jake "jakee" Anderson
    • Brenden "stellar" McGrath

This combination of talent marks YFP's commitment to building on the progress made last year and aiming for greater success in the coming season.

    Meet the Roster

Fiziq and penny, who joined YFP in December 2023, remain the backbone of the team. They led the squad throughout a challenging 2024 season that saw consistent struggles in the early splits. Thief, added in March, rounded out the trio as they sought to stabilize their performances.

Despite their efforts, YFP finished 9th-10th at VCL 2024 - North America Split 1 and 9th-12th at the Mid-Season Cup. While the team added jakee for the latter event, the results were still underwhelming, highlighting the need for further adjustments.

The addition of Brenden "stellar" McGrath late in the season proved pivotal. With stellar’s presence in the squad, YFP achieved a remarkable turnaround, securing a 2nd place finish at the VCL 2024 - North America: Stage 3. This strong performance gave fans hope and showcased the potential of the newly formed lineup.

    When does YFP play?

YFP is set to compete in the VCL 2025 - North America: Stage 1, though their opening opponent remains unknown, as the final qualifying team has yet to be determined. Fans eagerly await the team’s first match to see if their new roster can build on the momentum from the end of last season.

While their journey in 2024 was marred by struggles, their late-season resurgence gives reason for optimism. All eyes will be on the team as they strive to make their mark in the highly competitive Challengers circuit.
