Best KV Broadside loadout for Warzone & MW3
Despite the notoriously savage KV Broadside nerfs of Season 2, this mighty semi-auto shotgun still remains one of Warzone’s mightiest weapons.
Yes, the badass Broadside has weathered every nerf storm going to reign supreme as a solid B-tier choice in the Warzone gun meta (and an A-tier for the MW3 players). Kit yours out with the best loadout, and then laugh as your enemies shout and cry whenever they see you coming.
In fact, scratch that. It’s not bold enough. ‘Cause see, with a beast of a KV Broadside build, this shotgun has the potential to maximize its devastating power, and claim the crown of the deadliest shotgun in all of Warzone.
How do you like dem apples?!
How do you unlock the KV Broadside?
You’ve got two options for unlocking the KV Broadside. Either rack up 50 one-shot-kills with shotguns, or extract from DMZ with the Broadside in tow.
Much simpler than the old way of completing Sector B4 of Season 2’s Battle Pass, don’tcha think?

Attachments
Attachments like these will turn the slaughter up to Extra Splatter in any KV Broadside loadout, and complement this shotgun’s already impressive fire speed, mobility, and manageable recoil.
We’d class the Gunner D20 as your best barrel choice, though we won’t hold it against you if you’d prefer to rock the Range Twelve instead. Both are excellent choices, but the Gunner’s 40% damage range buff is tough to ignore!
Between the Point-G3P laser and VLK Stockless, you’ll boost your movement, sprint-to-fire, and hip-fire accuracy and recoil nicely, cranking your lethality through the roof. Add to that the 12 Shell Mag for extra ammo (though if you often find yourself facing the dreaded dead man’s click, the 25 Shell Drum may be more up your street).
One thing that should never be up for debate is the 12 Guage Dragon’s Breath ammo. Rock a KV Broadside build without those bad boys and you may as well be running into battle in your underpants. Just don’t, k?
That incendiary damage is absolutely unreal on the power scale and well worth the hit to bullet velocity, penetration, and damage range – trust us!
Of course, if you can’t stand the sacrifices of the Dragon’s Breath, you could always kit your loadout with the Dashbolt 60 instead. We wouldn’t, but you could.
Perks and equipment
Honestly, when do we ever not suggest Overkill? The KV Broadside’s going to give you rage-quit-inducing kill power up close, but you’ll still need something long-range to back it up.
Pair Overkill with a sniper, an LMG, or an assault rifle as your second primary choice, thank us later. We’d suggest something like the Victus XMR, the Lachmann 556, or possibly the classic M4.
The rest of your perks are largely personal preference, but you’re definitely best off with a build that includes Throwing Knives to help you quickly take out downed enemies without wasting extra shells.
FAQs
What SMG in Warzone has the fastest TTK?
One of the SMGs currently recognized for having the fastest time-to-kill (TTK) is the Kompakt 92. It excels in very close-range combat with a TTK around ~495 milliseconds in optimal conditions. Another strong contender is the LC10, which also delivers extremely fast kills thanks to its high fire-rate and aggressive performance in close range.
Which is the best SMG gun in Call of Duty?
There isn’t a single SMG that’s best for every situation, but some of the top picks for current meta include:
- Kompakt 92: Best for ultra-close range dominance.
- C9: Great balance of mobility and TTK, making it versatile.
- KSV: Slightly more forgiving for mid to close engagements with strong damage.
Choosing the “best” depends heavily on your style (rush vs. tactical), range of engagements, and attachment tuning.
Which SMG is easiest to control in Warzone?
An SMG that’s easiest to control usually means one with manageable recoil, predictable pattern, and good handling/mobility. The C9 stands out here because while it may not always have the absolute fastest TTK in every scenario, it offers a solid balance of fire-rate, damage, and controllability. The KSV is another good option if you want a bit more range and are willing to manage slightly more recoil. For beginners or players focused on consistency, go for the SMG with the smoother recoil and best handling rather than maximum raw TTK.
