The Spotlight Series x Gwangju Esports Series Asia marks the second Pacific-region edition of the Spotlight Series. It is a mixed-gender tournament that features teams made up of both VCT and Game Changers players. Each roster must include at least two Game Changers competitors, but teams are free to decide whether the lineup is majority male or majority female.
