Aatrox’s abilities in League of Legends
Passive: Deathbringer Stance

Aatrox will empower his next auto attack on a cooldown of between 24 and 12 seconds based on his level. This will give him 50 bonus attack range, and it will deal bonus magic damage which is equal to between 4 and 12% of the target's maximum health.
This cooldown is further reduced by two seconds every time he auto attacks a champion or large monster, and reduced by four seconds if he hits the sweetspot of his Q, The Darkin Blade.
Q: The Darkin Blade

Aatrox strikes the ground three times within this ability, with a one second cooldown between the casts, with the ability going on cooldown if he doesn't cast to the next Q within four seconds of the previous one.
The first cast of this ability lands in a small rectangle in front of Aatrox, with the sweetspot at the end. The second cast makes a rough cone in front of Aatrox with the sweetspot curving round the edge at the front.
The final cast of Aatrox’s Q is a circle all around him where the sweetspot is a large circle in the center.
If Aatrox hits an enemy with the sweetspot of any of his abilities they take 60% bonus damage and are also knocked up for 0.25 seconds.
The damage of each cast is increased on which cast it is, with a 25% damage increase on the second cast and 50% damage increased on the third cast.
The last cast can do up to 105 AD damage plus 135% of Aatrox's additional AD.
W: Infernal Chains

Aatrox throws a chain forward dealing a small amount of Magic Damage to the first enemy it hits but also slowing them for 1.5 seconds
This forms a chain which tethers the target (if they are an enemyt champion) for 1.5 seconds which also reveals them, and if the target stays within the area during this period they are dealt more magic damage and pulled back to the center where the chain first hit them.
E: Umbral Dash

The passive of Umbral Dash is that Aatrox heals for a proportion of the damage he deals against enemy champions which is increased during his Ultimate ability, World Ender. this healing is up to 24% at max rank.
the active of this ability simply has Aatrox dash in a direction that he chooses.
R: World Ender

Aatrox becomes Unleashed for 10 seconds which when cast fears nearby enemy minions and monsters for three seconds and they are also slowed for up to 99%. during World Ender Aatrox gains the Ghosting ability, and bonus movement speed of up to 100% at max rank that decays by 10% of the current bonus for every quarter of a second.
If Aatrox gets a champion takedown, he extends the duration of this by five seconds and becomes unleashed again, replenishing them movement speed bonus to the maximum.
During this Aatrox gainsbonus attack damage and 5% increase size which also increases his healing he gets from sources by up to 45% for both factors.
When was Aatrox released in League of Legends?

Aatrox and the first pure Darkin debuted on the Rift in Patch 3.8, which was June 13, 2013.
His release skim was Justicar Aatrox, and since then we have had two additional Darkin in the forms of Kayn and more recently Naafiri.
Aatrox was reworked in Patch 8.13, in mid-season of Season 8.
Where is Aatrox from in League of Legends?

As with all Darkin, Aatrox originates from Shurima where him and his brethren used to be defenders against the void.
He seeks to find the mortals who imprisoned him and unleash vengeance upon them. What we do not know too much else about Aatrox, we do love the Darkins here and we can't wait for the next installment or update in the Darkin lore.
Aatrox’s Age in League of Legends

We do not have an exact date for Aatrox’s birth, but instead we do have a rough estimate. The estimate is that Aatrox was born between 5000 BN and 3400 BN, which places him approximately 4,398 years of age and 5,998 years of age.
Aatrox’s Voice Actor in League of Legends

Aatrox was originally voiced by Erik Ireland before his rework, but he's now voiced by Ramon Tikaram in both League of Legends and Legends of Runeterra.
Ramon Tikaram also voices Ramattra in Overwatch 2, as well as having roles in Elden Ring.
Why is Aatrox so angry?
Aatrox feels angry because he lost everything. He was once a noble warrior from a group called the Ascended. After a great war, his people sealed his soul inside a magic sword. He stayed trapped for centuries with no control over his body.
This made him feel pain, hate, and loss. Now, he uses others to escape the sword, but he still feels empty. He wants to destroy the world because he sees no hope or peace. His anger comes from being betrayed, forgotten, and used as a weapon.
Is Aatrox a female?
Aatrox is male. He speaks with a male voice and uses male pronouns in the game. Riot shows him as a strong and angry male warrior.
In older versions of the game, his design looked more elegant, and some players thought he had a softer look. But Riot later changed his style to match his deep voice and dark story. Now, Aatrox clearly looks and sounds male.
There is no part of his story or lore that says he was ever female. His current design and voice confirm that Aatrox is a male champion.
