100 Thieves recruit HIGHGROUND to complete their lineup

by Germanicus 2020-06-25

100 Thieves have announced the last four members of their VALORANT lineup, after previously announcing Spencer “Hiko” Martin as their first signing.

The players announced by the organization are Zachary “Venerated” Roach, Keane “Valliate” Alonso, Diondre “YaBoiDre” Bond, and Alfred “Pride” Choi. All are former professional PLAYERUNKNOWN’S BATTLEGROUNDS players: Valliate for Tempo Storm, OpTic Gaming, and Spacestation Gaming, YaBoiDre for Tempo Storm, and Pride and Venerated each for Team Envy. All of them achieved modest success in the North American scene, but none could ever accomplish too much internationally. Pride is the only player to have attended the biggest PUBG tournament in the world, the PUBG Global Championship in 2019, where he placed 30th with Team Envy.

They started to play VALORANT together in the closed beta, along with Jaden “Vegas” James, as Team HIGHGROUND, and have achieved a lot of success. They were known as one of the best amateur teams in the region, alongside Mousespaz, now TSM. While they often showed up in high placings in tournaments, their real breakthrough came in the Elite Esports Rivalry Bowl NA, where they finally beat Mousespaz and finished second to Cloud9. Rumors have been swirling around HIGHGROUND lately, as the team has not participated in any tournaments since the Elite Esports one, and Vegas has been seen playing with other amateur organizations. As we now know, that’s because he was the one member of the team left out after the others signed for 100 Thieves. YaBoiDre recently tweeted that they had been signed, and reports made the rounds earlier today that 100 Thieves was their destination. As we can now see, all that has been confirmed.

We will get our first look at 100 Thieves this weekend, as the team has already been confirmed to the T1 x Nerd Street Gamers Showdown, which begins tomorrow, June 26th, 2020, at 5PM EDT. We will not have to wait long to judge their power ranking, as we’ll already be able to see them stack up against the best in North America in this tournament.

100 Thieves' finalized roster is:

Spencer "Hiko" Martin Zachary "Venerated" Roach Diondre "YaBoiDre" Bond Keane "Valliate" Alonso Alfred "Pride" Choi

If Hiko would be last one coming to this roster, would he sign for 100T?
