In the last week of May, the news broke that Brazilian organization paiN Gaming was looking into a squad centered around former Overwatch players Murillo “murizzz” Tuchtenhagen and Pedro “ole” Orlandini. Today, they officially announced the two players as the first members of their VALORANT team on their Instagram.

In case you missed our previous report, here’s a quick recap. The two are storied players in the South American Overwatch scene. Murizzz took home the Brazil Esports Award for Best Overwatch Player in 2019, and both he and ole have been called up to the Brazilian national team. Murizzz played on paiN previously in Overwatch. They’ve been active in the Brazilian VALORANT scene so far, winning several local tournaments including the Japex Spike tournament.

PaiN’s first few pieces have fallen into place. Now we wait and see if murizzz’ and ole’s rumoured teammates, André “Txozin” Saidel, Matheus “bzkA” Tarasconi, and Leandro “frzgod” Gomes (who we recently saw in Twitch Rivals as part of Team paulanobre) will eventually join them.

paiN Gaming's current roster is:

Brazil Murillo “murizzz” Tuchtenhagen Brazil Pedro “ole” Orlandini
