Sector One triumph in the VRL France: Revolution Stage 1

The regular season’s exciting competition continued in the playoffs as Sector One lifted the VRL - France: Revolution - Stage 1 - Main Event trophy after a reverse-sweep win over Team BDS in the Grand Final. Sector One will represent France during VCT 2022 - EMEA Promotion Tournament.

Sector One vs beGenius ESC

Surprisingly, beGenius ESC made a great start to the series by dominating Sector One’s map pick, Split, with a score of 13-5. Even though Quentin "Ridder" Godebert had the best statistics on his team with 21 kills and 317 ACS, other members also had important contributions to the win. Sector One played like a different team during Bind. Two players, Marcty "MARCTYLINHO" Bienvenu and Ryad "Shin" Ensaad, reached 22 kills at the end of the game to secure the win and tie the series to 1-1. Thirdly, Sector One secured another important win on Ascent, after 26 rounds. Tony "Goaster" Richard had a stand-out Jett performance with 35 kills and a 1.84 rating to carry his team during overtime. Lastly, SO secured another close win but this time on Haven. beGenius ESC showed great passion and forced another map until the very end but they failed to prevent a 13-10 loss on the last map. Shin’s Astra played the most important role for the side of Sector One as the team reached the Grand Final.

Team BDS vs OG Esports

The same scenario happened with the match above but this time the characters were different. OG Esports won the first map of the series with a score of 13-5 on Haven to prove their worth before the upcoming rounds. OG’s teamwork and chemistry looked brilliant and most of the players had similar statistics with Joey "fxy0EZ" Schlosser stepping up a little holding a 1.56 rating and 1.33 K/D. Team BDS managed to tie the series after a 13-10 Bind win in the second map. Mikołaj "Mickebwoy" Chojnacki’s Sova picked up 28 kills to secure the win for the side of BDS. Thirdly, Mickebwoy stepped up with his Sova once again in the third map with 19 kills and a monstrous 2.71 K/D to get his team ahead in the series, 2-1. OG’s Adam "LeeN" Caillol struggled with Jett as he held a 0.64 rating and 0.58 K/D despite picking up 5 first bloods. Lastly, Team BDS demolished the opposing side on Split after 20 rounds. The Irish star, Elric "juseu" Belland stepped up for the first time in the series and grabbed 21 kills to carry his team to the Grand Final. OG Esports got eliminated just like beGenius ESC.

Grand Final

Sector One vs Team BDS

The Grand Final was very close as Sector One pulled out a miracle reverse sweep to lift the trophy. Firstly, Team BDS won Haven with a score of 13-10 and got the advantage in the Grand Final. Once again, Elric "juseu" Belland was the star player who made the biggest difference with 23 kills and a 1.64 K/D. Secondly, BDS secured an even easier win on Bind, 13-7. Sector One didn’t show any presence and couldn’t prevent BDS’ dominance in the second map. Team BDS players executed their strategies very well to reach the championship point easily. However, Sector One players weren’t there to give up that easily and they proved it with their first win in the series, 13-8 on Ascent. The French duelist of the orange-colored team, Tony "Goaster" Richard, reminded his presence with a 24-kill Jett performance.

Team BDS had another chance to lift the trophy before the fifth game but they failed to complete the mission once again. Sector One fought until the very end and pulled out a miracle overtime-win on Split. Ryad "Shin" Ensaad’s Astra came in handy for the France-based organization once again as he secured 24 kills in 26 rounds. The French player held a 1.28 rating and 1.60 K/D like the cherry on top of a cake. It came to the fifth game to decide the winner of VRL - France: Revolution - Stage 1 - Main Event. The exciting competition continued as the last map went to overtime. In the end, Sector One closed out the series after an 18-16 Breeze win and qualified for the VCT Promotion tournament. Cista "KONEQT" Adel stepped up with 29 kills to his name to carry his team in the overtime.
