We have covered Group A, and Group B in the previous days. Today, it is time for Group C, one of the most exciting draws in the VALORANT Champions tournament in which Gambit Esports will perform.

As the tournament format states, the first two teams of each group will continue to live their championship dream in the later stages. However, the third and fourth teams will go back to their homes with empty hands. Each group consists of four teams and here are the participants of Group C:

Russian Federation M3 Champions Brazil Team Vikings Philippines Team Secret Japan Crazy Raccoon

December 1st

December 2nd

December 4th

December 5th

December 7th

The first matchup of Group C will include Brazil’s Team Vikings and Japan’s Crazy Raccoon. The Brazilian side have granted themselves a spot thanks to their BR Circuit Points with their achievements within the region. Gustavo "Sacy" Rossi is their star player as the Brazilian has shown outstanding performances during his time with the team. Sacy was a professional League of Legends player before and his performances in VALORANT show how much of a competitor he is. He is known for his Jett and even though the team failed to make it to VCT 2021 - Stage 3 - Masters Berlin - Group Stage, he stepped up with 260.3 ACS in 160 rounds during VCT 2021 - Stage 3 - Brazil - Challengers Playoffs. On the other hand, the in-game leader, Matias "Saadhak" Delipetro is another important piece of the roster. The Argentinian player decides what to do in tough situations and he will come in handy for the team in their upcoming games.

The other side of the competition will be the Japanese team Crazy Raccoon. They were the second team in VCT 2021 - Stage 3 - Masters Berlin - Group Stage to represent their region after ZETA DIVISION. Even though they failed to move forward in the tournament, Crazy Raccoon have won many fans with their unpredictable performances. CR lost to the champions, Gambit Esports in the Decider Match of Group C back in September. The IGL of the team, Byeon "Munchkin" Sang-beom stepped up during Masters 3: Berlin with a 200 ACS. The Korean player is both the IGL and the Duelist for Crazy Raccoon. CR had got their only Masters 3: Berlin win against the Brazilian team Havan Liberty so this might be a tough matchup that could light the fire in Group C.

The latest VALORANT champions will compete in Group C to renew their belts. Gambit Esports will face Team Secret on December 2nd to show their strength in their opening game. All the players have different specialties in the game and that is the main reason this team were the champions of Masters 3: Berlin. However, if there should be a player to stand on, it would be Ayaz "nAts" Akhmetshin. Even though all his teammates are very talented, nAts has been outstanding with Viper and Cypher. He is on another level especially with Cypher considering his 1.33 KD and 230.2 ACS in 3760 rounds. On the other hand, Gambit Esports fell short against Acend at Red Bull Home Ground - #2 - Main Event. It would be surprising to see them struggle but this is VALORANT, anything is possible!

Team Secret are the latest participants of Group C. They are the second-best team after X10 Esports in terms of SEA Circuit Points. TS bought Bren Esports’ roster on September 9th to start their VALORANT grind. The roster consists of five Filipino players and a fellow countryman coach to help them understand the game better. We haven’t seen this roster perform under the Team Secret uniform at a big tournament; however, they have proved themselves under the Bren Esports roof. Team Secret are surely a valid candidate that could make it out of the group stage. We have seen incredible performances from the duelist Jayvee "DubsteP" Paguirigan during the VCT 2021 - Stage 3 - SEA - Challengers Playoffs. He popped off with 243.9 ACS in 420 rounds with Jett and Raze. On top of that, he once got 38 kills in a single game, the highest in the tournament. With all these aspects adding up, Team Secret may upset others in the upcoming days.
