    Split:

Proceedings began on 100 Thieves map pick, but they weren’t the ones to take control of the momentum early on. FaZe took an easy couple of rounds with almost no viable contest from 100T, but they retaliated in the third one. It seemed like 100 Thieves had finally recovered and would give Faze a tough time in the upcoming rounds.

Unfortunately for them, FaZe’s defense had negligible vulnerabilities they could exploit and round after round was added to their score such that they were leading 9-3 by halftime largely in part due to Andrej "babybay" Francisty performance on Neon. He finished the defensive half with 1.79 Rating and 328 ACS.

FaZe was in the clear to close out the first map of the Upper Bracket Round 1, but 100 Thieves knew better than to give up so early and so they came out guns blazing in the second half and protected the sites with all their might to get an almost flawless 10 round streak to not only close out the map but to do so while letting the opposition only take only one round in the entire half.

It was Sean "bang" Bezerra to 100 Thieves’ rescue as he capitalized on Astra’s utility with an unmatched discipline to finish the half with 2.41 Rating and 383 ACS. I believe FaZe weren’t expecting him to choose Astra considering that he had played Omen on Split ever since he was acquired by 100 Thieves.

    Fracture:

FaZe had a significant lead going into the second half of Split, which meant that they had to revise their offensive strategies and they did just that for Fracture, their map pick. Although, 100 Thieves took the first pistol this time around, they couldn’t maintain their performance and FaZe blitzed past them to take almost 9 consecutive rounds leaving 100T once again with only three rounds to build off of going into the second half.

Fortunately, the 9-3 curse didn’t strike on Fracture and FaZe was able to pull through and close out the second half 13-7. A factor to consider here is 100 Thieves being able to secure four back-to-back rounds to elevate their score to 7. Throughout the matchup, FaZe failed to break 100 Thieves’ momentum once they got going, which is something they’ll want to improve going forward if they wish to string a successful lower bracket run and secure a Masters spot. Quan "dicey" Tran was lethal for Faze on both sides with an overall 1.97 Rating and 397 ACS. Furthermore, he also had a mind-blowing 4.4 KD on Attack.

    Icebox

Matchups going to decider are considered the peak of entertainment and this was no different as the Faze in true fashion started the half with a 9-3 lead once again on Attack. It was almost a mirror performance of Fracture’s first half as 100 Thieves once again took pistol round but failed to retain their control over the momentum.

Andrej "babybay" Francisty known to be a spectacular Jett on Icebox decided to switch things up and opt for Chamber instead, and the change proved to be extremely crucial on Offense.

As both teams switched sides, 100 Thieves realized the predicament they were in and came out with an unparalleled force to catch Faze’s defense off-guard and close out the map after two intermittent streaks with the former spanning over four rounds and the latter six rounds.

Faze tried on multiple occasions to hold 100T in their tracks, but almost every attempt was rendered futile. The only times they were able to hold back 100 Thieves were during the 17th and 18th round where Phat "supamen" Le managed a 4K. Nonetheless, 100T didn’t take their foot of the gas and closed out the map 13-11 booking a spot at the Upper Bracket Round 2 against XSET, whom they had already defeated 2-0 in the Group Stages.
