BIG thanked their former players on Twitter and parted ways as the organization will not be a part of the VCT 2023 EMEA League next year. The tweet included BIG’s 2022 roster, luckeRRR, AslaN, musashi, Obnoks, Twisten, and KUNDIKUNDI, who were either already benched or had joined another team. Last season they competed at VCT 2022 EMEA Stage 1 and Stage 2.

The German esports organization was not one of the partnership teams announced by Riot Games and it was expected the players could join different organizations. Last season, they were one of the competitors of VCT 2022 EMEA Stage 1 and Stage 2 Challengers. However, the organization only picked one win in ten games, placing last in groups both times. After not making it to the VCT 2023 EMEA League, all players were benched and some of them even joined different teams.

As mentioned, BIG players were benched a while ago and after the decision, AslaN was picked up by the Turkish team, İstanbul Wildcats. He joined the organization as a stand-in. Recently, Twisten signed a contract with the VCT 2023 EMEA League representatives Team Vitality. The other three players have still not joined an official team yet. Out of five, Twisten holds the best rating with a 1.24 and musashi follows him with 1.17.

BIG’s roster during the 2022 season included:

Germany Alessio "musashi" Xhaferi Germany Ceyhun "AslaN" Aslan Germany Niels "luckeRRR" Jasiek Germany Nico "Obnoks" Garczarczyk Czech Republic Karel "Twisten" Ašenbrener

    Finland Jiri "KUNDIKUNDI" Honkala (Coach)
