BLAST’s charity tournament in partnership with Riot Games and Twitch, Spike Nations - #2, is set to begin tomorrow, October 7th. The event, which made a successful debut in November last year, will return for a three day long online competition. Now that the full format, teams, and schedules are out, here’s all you need to know for BLAST Spike Nations.

The 12 European nation teams at the event are as follows:

    • Team Spain
    • Team France
    • Team Poland
    • Team Turkey
    • Team Portugal
    • Team UK
    • Team Nordic
    • Team CIS
    • Team Benelux
    • Team Eastern Europe
    • Team Italy
    • Team DACH

Each squad is a mix of professional players, streamers, and popular figures from their regions. Most notable is recent Masters Berlin winner Ayaz "nAts" Akhmetshin, ex-G2 Esports duo Patryk "paTiTek" Fabrowski and David "davidp" Prins, Jett aficionado Mehmet Yağız "cNed" İpek, and CS:GO legends Kenny "kennyS" Schrub and Nathan "NBK" Schmitt.

The 12 teams are divided into three groups, where the top two from each group will be decided through a GSL format. All matches will be best of ones, with the exception of the grand final, which will be a best of three. This is the opening match schedule (full schedule here):

    • 7th October - starts at 1PM CEST/7AM EST
      • Team Turkey vs Team CIS
      • Team Nordic vs Team Eastern Europe
      • Team UK vs Team DACH
      • Team Poland vs Team Spain
    • 8th October - starts at 3PM CEST/9AM EST
      • Team Italy vs Team Benelux
      • Team Portugal vs Team France

BLAST have announced that teams will be playing for a €60,000 pool, which will be donated to charitable causes. There will be further incentives for teams and players to beat each other in order to raise more funds. VALORANT’s brand new map, Fracture, is also set to make an appearance at the event. The event will be streamed at https://www.twitch.tv/blasttv from October 7th to October 9th.

What team are you most excited for? Which player do you think will step up?
