Boo parts ways with Team Heretics after four years

Ričardas "Boo" Lukaševičius is leaving Team Heretics after four years with the organization. In their announcement, Team Heretics thanked him for his dedication and commitment throughout their time together, highlighting his ability to put the team above himself and create a sense of family within the squad.

A four-year partnership comes to an end

Spending four years with the same team is no small feat, and Boo has certainly left his mark on Team Heretics. After making his Tier 1 debut with the organization in 2022, he became one of the team's most consistent players, particularly in his role as in-game leader.

In an emotional video looking back at Boo’s time with the team, Team Heretics players and coaching staff, as well as his former teammate and brother Dominykas "MiniBoo" Lukaševičius, shared heartfelt messages for him.

His career with the organization was also defined by several second-place finishes, particularly in 2024, a year that became one of the most painful in Team Heretics' history. The team reached the Grand Final in two of the three regional events but fell short on both occasions, losing to Fnatic and Karmine Corp.

The heartbreak continued on the international stage. In what was one of the team's most consistent years, Team Heretics reached two international Grand Finals, finishing as runners-up in both. At the VCT 2024 - Masters Shanghai, they fell to Gen.G Esports, before losing to EDward Gaming a few months later in the VCT 2024 - Champions 2024.

It was a year the organization and its fans would not soon forget.

Success finally arrived a year later when Team Heretics claimed their first title at the EWC - Esports World Cup 2025. Boo would later add his first regional title to his resume in 2026 at the VALORANT Champions Tour 2026 - EMEA Stage 1.

Over his four years with Team Heretics, Boo played 134 series across 327 maps, winning 75 and losing 59.

Boo leaves Team Heretics with a lasting legacy, built on resilience, hard work, and success. His journey also stands as an example of how perseverance and never giving up can eventually lead to something great.

Team Heretics Rebuild

With major changes coming to the VALORANT circuit in 2027, Team Heretics has already begun making significant changes to its roster. The majority of the lineup has been together for the past three years.

Boo is the first member of the original four-player core to depart, while rumors suggest that more players could leave the organization in the coming months.

Team Heretics have also allowed Martynas "Koshmaras" Namikas to explore his options on the market, leaving the team with only three players from the core that joined in 2023: Benjy "benjyfishy" David Fish, Mert "Wo0t" Alkan, and Enes "RieNs" Ecirli.

There is still no information about the future of the lineup, but the recent moves suggest the organization could be preparing for a rebuild ahead of the 2027 season.
