Renegades coach Justin “coachJ” Anzalone has announced that he will be leaving the organization at the end of the year.

Since joining Renegades in early September, coachJ has been credited with much of their surprise success, most notably their qualification for the First Strike North America Regional Final in a shocking upset over Cloud9. Renegades have also become one of the best Split teams in North America over the last few months, another step forward for the team that has reflected nicely on the coach.

In his announcement, coachJ revealed that his final event as coach would be an unannouced tournament happening at the end of December. The event has since been revealed as To The Skyes, a charity invitational beginning on December 19th hosted by Cloud9. He also teased that something was coming up for him, and given the way he’s been able to help transform Renegades, it could very well be a spot at a higher-level organization. Teams like Envy, 100 Thieves, and Sentinels are all currently without a coach.

With coachJ’s departure, Renegades will be:

United States Chuck “CP2” Proud United States Ryan “winsum” Johns Canada Devon “randyySAVAGE” Bréard United States Stephen “Berghy” Bergh United States Alexander “retrQ” Kadan
