Fnatic sweep Team Heretics to win the VCT EMEA 2025 Stage 1 trophy
Fnatic has once again asserted its dominance over the EMEA region, taking down Team Heretics in a commanding sweep to win the VALORANT Champions Tour 2025 - EMEA Stage 1 Finals. In a match that felt less like a contest and more like a coronation, Fnatic delivered a clinical performance that left no doubts as to their form heading into VALORANT Champions Tour 2025 - Masters Toronto 2025.
Fnatic run EMEA
After getting rid of Team Heretics in the Upper Bracket Finals with a quick 2-0, Fnatic came into the Stage 1 Grand Finals high on confidence. And boy did it show. Despite the undeniable talent and firepower on this Heretics squad, Fnatic managed to sweep their opponents all the same to lift the Stage 1 trophy in dominant fashion.
Despite the disappointing showing at VALORANT Champions Tour 2025 - EMEA Kickoff to start the year, it did not take Fnatic long to get back to the top of the region once more. With the trophy in their hands, Fnatic earned themselves a ticket straight into the Masters Toronto Playoffs. Once there, the EMEA Kings will face some of the toughest teams in the world as Fnatic look to conquer the VALORANT scene on North American soil.
Crashies and kaajak: A first time for everything
As special as this win is for the whole Fnatic squad, there are two players on the team that will be walking on clouds for the next several days. First off, we have Austin "crashies" Roberts. After more than five years competing in VALORANT at the highest level, this Grand Finals win over Team Heretics marks the **first time that the veteran players lifts a regional trophy in the VCT. **
On the other side we have Kajetan "kaajak" Haremski, a player who took no time in letting his name be known across the league. A player who entered the top-flight VALORANT scene just this very year, kaajak managed to come away with an EMEA trophy in just his second tournament in the VCT. And what a way to do it too; at the Grand Finals, Team Heretics consistently tried and failed to contain the Polish star as kaajak finished the match with a 1.63 rating, 316 ACS, and a total of 73 kills across three maps to carry Fnatic to victory.
Heading to Toronto
With Masters Toronto less than three weeks away, Fnatic celebrations will need to be kept short. Despite earning themselves a bit of a breather by securing passage straight to the Playoffs, Fnatic will need to make the most of the little time available to them as Toronto will have the very best teams in the world waiting to take them on.
Joining Fnatic as the three EMEA representatives at Toronto are Team Heretics and Team Liquid. With VALORANT glory on the line, the trio of teams will now head out west and look to make their region proud at the next step in international competition.
