"They're here to watch me" - FUT s0pp on his calm mindset at Masters London

After making his international debut against FULL SENSE with a 401 ACS performance, Efe "s0pp" Tur has continued to turn heads by consistently outfragging his opponents at VALORANT Champions Tour 2026 - Masters London 2026. In FUT Esports' regional showdown against Team Vitality, a playoff berth was on the line, and s0pp did everything he could to keep his team's hopes alive.

In the end, however, Vitality secured the playoff spot, while FUT remains in the fight through the Swiss Stage. Following the match, THESPIKE spoke with s0pp about his performance, his international debut, and much more.

Another loss against Team Vitality

The match against Vitality was a rematch of the VALORANT Champions Tour 2026 - EMEA Stage 1 Upper Final, where Vitality also came out on top. Reflecting on the series, s0pp placed much of the blame on himself. Looking ahead, he believes the key is returning to his usual aggressive style and avoiding overthinking during crucial moments.

I think we performed good on the first map and second map also, but for me I didn't really perform good on the third map. And it happened in the EMEA as well. I didn't perform well on the third map so I think I'll just need to keep working on playing more, I guess.

Now facing an elimination match at Masters London, FUT must win their next series to stay alive. When asked what the team needs to improve moving forward, s0pp had a clear answer.

I think we need to stay a bit more calm and we shouldn't be overthinking the opponent. Like, we're not playing against like, winner of champs like two times in a row, you know, they're just human like us and we're thinking too much when they like, do a default and I think we should stop doing that. We need to stop decreasing the mood when we lose rounds, maybe that's why.

First time Chamber

With Neon recently receiving significant nerfs, FUT has adjusted its compositions. Previously, s0pp was known for insta-locking Neon and overwhelming opponents with explosive movement and fast-paced entries. Since the nerfs, however, he hasn't played Neon at all.

While he has mostly appeared on Jett throughout the event, FUT surprised fans by putting s0pp on Chamber on Pearl against Vitality, his first official Chamber game with the roster.

THESPIKE: Why Chamber?

I don't know, my coach said play Chamber, I said yes I like Chamber.

Even if the pick wasn't his idea, the agent change didn’t affect him much. Turns out he can play any agent like it’s Jett, fearlessly taking aggressive fights and pushing through smokes for his teammates. He finished Pearl with a 23-16 K/D, his strongest map of the series.

According to s0pp, the shift away from Neon has been a welcome change.

I’ve played the game since it came out. I know everything and every agent as well so I can play anything actually. I don't really want to say I'm happy because I was getting tired and getting bored [of playing Neon]. So I think the nerf is fine. But sometimes I miss playing Neon.

Global stage debut

s0pp earned his place in the VCT by winning Ascension with ULF Esports, now competing under the Eternal Fire banner. Since arriving in Tier 1 competition, his rise has been rapid, culminating in an international debut just months after playing his first VCT EMEA match.

Competing on the global stage has brought plenty of additional responsibilities both inside and outside the server. Now, the days are filled with media appearances and interviews.

I mean, it's really hard because yesterday we won the match and then we stayed here for like one and a half hours I guess and probably it's gonna happen again, but I'm liking it and I'm enjoying it and I think it's a good experience and good memories so it's okay.

Calm mindset

During Stage 1, s0pp quickly became one of EMEA's breakout stars thanks to his raw mechanical talent and fearless approach. Despite competing at his first international event, he keeps fragging like usual, saying the pressure hasn't affected him at all.

I know I was going to be here one day and I don't really want to waste my time by just playing one game and losing. That's how my brain works and that's how my mentality works. So I just want to go in the lobby and play how I play and that's it.

THESPIKE: Do you ever get nervous?

No, not really. (…) They are here to watch me. So that's how it goes, you know.

One noticeable difference between Stage 1 s0pp and Masters s0pp has been the lack of celebrations and taunts. During the EMEA season, he became known for standing up after big rounds and pointing toward opponents. In London, he's been much more reserved. Instead, it was his opponent, Elias "Jamppi" Olkkonen who stood up the most in their match.

According to s0pp, he's saving that energy for the right matchup.

I'm waiting for a real opponent. Because I played against Vitality in EMEA. I didn't really want to stand up. But if I get like a North American team or if I see someone standing up in front of me, I'll stand up.

Elimination match next

With the loss to Vitality, FUT now sits at a 1-1 score in the Swiss Stage. One more defeat would end their Masters run, while a win would send them to the next challenge, the playoffs. Their next opponent will be determined following the Swiss Stage round three draw later today.
