G2 Esports are back at the highest level of competition as Riot Games have given permission to them to join VCT 2024 Americas League. The organization signed five members of The Guard. These players are: Jonah "JonahP" Pulice, Michael "neT" Bernet, Jacob "valyn" Batio, Trent "trent" Cairns, and head coach Josh "JoshRT" Lee.

G2 Esports are the new VCT 2024 Americas League competitors

Riot Games have announced G2 Esports as the newest addition to the roster of teams competing in the 2024 VCT North America season. This announcement has sent waves of excitement through the gaming community as G2 Esports brings their reputation and expertise to the VCT stage. “There’s a system for us to engage with fans through the Americas league, but also through Masters and Champions. Watch parties, digital items; we’re very excited. We felt so sad not being part of the league, that having a door to earn back a spot is such great news,” G2 CEO Alban Dechelotte said to Dot Esports.

Last year, The Guard players had a great run, and they won the VCT 2023 Ascension League, but due to recent occasions, they were unable to find themselves a spot at the highest league in the region. All the community agreed on the occasion being unfair to the players, and it looks like G2 Esports came to the rescue while getting what they wanted at the beginning of last year.

"The players have been signed to two-year deals with G2, but Dechelotte noted that provisions have been added to the contracts that in a scenario where G2 acquires a full-time partnership in VCT Americas, there is an option to extend those deals," Dot Esports added.

While most of the roster is set, G2 Esports is currently pursuing the final piece to complete their VALORANT dream team. The identity of the fifth player remains a mystery

As we anticipate the final addition to G2 Esports' roster, one thing is clear: the stage is set for an exhilarating VCT Americas 2024 season. With a mix of seasoned professionals and emerging talents, G2 Esports is poised to bring a fresh wave of competition and excitement to the VALORANT esports scene, leaving fans eagerly awaiting the action to come. Stay tuned as we follow this journey and witness the fusion of talent and ambition in the world of competitive VALORANT. Here is the current G2 Esports roster that will compete against the best teams of the Americas region:
