Ghost Gaming have announced today that Ryan "ryann" Welsh has left the team.

The long standing in-game leader will leave the organization after eleven months, having been benched in March. During his tenure, the team most notably won Pittsburgh Knights Monthly Gauntlet 2021 - July: Campfire Chaos and placed second at NSG 2022 Winter Championship - Online Open 5 and NSG Summer Champs - Summer Champs - Open 12, but failed to make it through any of the VCT NA Open Qualifiers. Indeed, his last event with the squad was VCT 2022 - North America - Stage 1 - Open Qualifier 2, where they were eliminated in 9th-12th after a 1-2 loss to Kansas City Pioneers.

The American dodged roster changes in the off-season which saw Dajon "chase" Lopez and Danny "HUYNH" Huynh leave the team, while Mohamed Amine "Johnqt" Ouarid and Brock "brawk" Somerhalder were brought in. The moves were not enough to bring success in the spring and Ghost Gaming have chosen to make the big move of cutting their in-game leader.

ryann is now a free agent and played with Gorilla Gang at Pittsburgh Knights Monthly Gauntlet 2022 - March, where they finished outside the top 32. Both him and Ghost Gaming will be looking to quickly get back on track before the next stage of VCT 2022 NA begins.

With the change, Ghost Gaming are:

Canada Marki "NiSMO" Tayar Canada Gianfranco "koalanoob" Potestio United States Brock "brawk" Somerhalder Morocco Mohamed Amine "Johnqt" Ouarid

United States Adam "kaplan" Kaplan (Head Coach)
