Global Esports has officially parted ways with Chae "yoman" Young-mun ahead of the VCT 2026 season as the team continues their rebuild.

Global Esports has struggled at the tier one level ever since joining the VALORANT Pacific franchised league. In their three years in the league, the team has struggled to qualify for the VCT Pacific Playoffs stage, effectively ending their seasons early every single year. Now, the team continues to rebuild their entire VCT lineup by parting ways with yoman going into next season.

This past VCT 2025 season was no different for Global Esports. Despite making numerous roster changes throughout the year, the team ultimately missed out on the VALORANT Champions Tour 2025 - Pacific Stage 2 Playoffs, putting an end to their third year in franchising.

Before joining Global Esports, yoman was apart of Nongshim RedForce in tier two. His strong performances in tier two netted him an opportunity to join Gen.G Esports ahead of the VCT 2025 season where he was able to help the team reach 3rd in VALORANT Champions Tour 2025 - Pacific Kickoff. However, he was subsequently benched and joined Global Esports ahead of VCT Pacific Stage 2. Now, yoman will be looking to field offers to join a new team at the tier one level going into the VCT 2026 season.

    What’s next for Global Esports?

As for Global Esports, they will be looking to put a stop to their struggles at the tier one level. The team has been rumoured to pick up former TALON Head Coach frost in their efforts to reverse their misfortunes in the VCT.

It will be interesting to see how the new iteration of Global Esports performs in the VCT 2026 season and if the team can make it to their first playoff stage.
