Jawgemo leads all VCT Americas players with skyhigh kill stats
It's been three weeks since the VCT 2025 - Americas Stage 1 kicked off, and teams and players have quickly made their mark on the split. Some players in the particular have absolutely ripping up the leaderboards with outrageous performances, such as Alexander "jawgemo" Mor, who is currently leading the league with an average of 21 kills per map.
Big dawg-emo
The 25-year-old has been the perfect tip of the spear for G2 Esports, boasting the highest ACS of any player in the region, with a skyhigh 269 ACS. He also has a 1.5 KDA, and 25 first bloods as well. He has consistently been a explosive source of firepower for G2, averaging a kill a round. He has only used Yoru and Waylay through the split, dropping a eye-popping 27 kills on Lotus vs. NRG with only seven deaths. He eventually dropped 46 kills over the two games played, with only 20 deaths to boot.
Jawgemo is also reliable in the clutch, having won a handful of rounds by his lonesome. He currently has a 40 percent win rate when in a 1vX situation, over 10 situations. He has proven time and time again that he has ice in his veins, and he's ready for a chance at redemption at VCT 2025 - Masters Toronto 2025. Along with Jawgemo's exemplary play, G2 has looked like the best team in the region. Not only have their individual players been performing well, but their team play and utility usage have been nothing short of perfect.
Contenders for the crown
There are few players who could challenge Jawgemo's claim as the best player in the region, but these few are powerful candidates. 100 Thieves's Matthew "Cryocells" Panganiban currently has the second-highest ACS and the same KD and average kills per round as Jawgemo. Cryocells also has a higher KAST percentage and a higher average damage per round, which shows just how much impact he has on 100 Thieves' success. It seems like if Cryocells isn't fragging out, 100 Thieves struggle to pull together and find wins. As seen by his KDAs in the team's losses, he needs to be dropping over 24 kills a game for the team to win, whereas Jawgemo has other teammates that can step up if he isn't on fire.
There are multiple other players who are reaching for the pinnacle as well, such as Angelo "Keznit" Mori on the undefeated KRÜ Esports squad, who currently has the most first bloods at 42. He has been fearless and razor-sharp during this stage, and should be a player to watch as KRU continues their streak. There is also Cloud9's Francis "OXY" Hoang, who has 39 first bloods and the fourth-highest ACS among all VCT Americas players. A new player who has joined the fray is Lucca "lukxo" Travaioli, who recently joined LOUD and had a wonderful debut in their match vs. 100 Thieves, leading his team in kills across all three maps and dropping 66 kills throughout the series. Compared to Jawgemo and the others previously mentioned, he has a higher ACS and KD, but has only played in a single series compared to the three series that all of the other players have battled through.
The 18-year-old phenom was introduced to the starting roster after LOUD started off Stage One winless. He will need to continue his stellar play throughout the rest of the stage, if LOUD wants a chance to break into playoff contention. Is this young star the breath of fresh air that this organization has been looking for, or is he simply a source of false hope? The answer will be found when LOUD takes the stage next week vs. Sentinels.
