Leak showcases possible new VALORANT agent and their abilities
Some new intel on the upcoming VALORANT agent has been leaked. Agent 29 appears to be a Sentinel with suppression abilities reminiscent of KAY/O, combined with classic Sentinel utility. Expect gunplay to play a major role when facing off against this new hero on the battlefield.
Suppression-type agent
According to leaks, the new agent hails from West Africa and gained his powers through a genetic mutation. His kit focuses on suppressing enemy tech and gear, similar to KAY/O, while also preventing site entry with trap-based utility.
Leaked abilities
C: Equips a vortex energy ball. Place the ball on the ground and while within skill range and aiming at a vortex, you can teleport to the vortex's location. During the purchase phase, the energy ball can be retrieved and redeployed.
Q: Equips a piece of mutated slime. The slime is thrown on the ground and upon impact it becomes a trap, trapping enemies passing through. Trapped enemies are snared and deafened. The trap can be destroyed by enemies before it activates.
E: Equips the Phage. As the Phage is placed in the target location and activated, it destroys enemy gadgets and deployables that can be damaged by gunfire or has bounce-based movement. This ability can also be destroyed by enemies.
X: Instantly activates a mutated state where the agent gains health regeneration, enhanced combat abilities, and immunity to debuffs.
Releasing in October
Agent 29 is expected to drop mid-October with V25 Act VI. If Riot sticks to tradition, we might get a first look of the new agent during the Champions Paris Showmatch, where they often tease new agents.
